Now, I know I'm a new guy, here, and I don't claim to be a lawyer or anything, but, I'd like to think that I'm not a complete doofus on this subject.

I noticed that there's a planned boss for the prototype called 'Gate Man'. This is a problem.
Some of you likely know about GateMan.exe. For those of you that have never played Mega Man Battle Network 2, GateMan was the Navi used by Mr. Famous, who was a sorta fun challenge in that game. I'm assuming Gate Man is going to be based on GateMan.exe's appearance.

The problem comes in with the fact that GateMan.exe--along with Battle Network 4's KendoMan.exe and Battle Network 5's GridMan.exe--are all fan-submitted Capcom ideas for use in those games ONLY, and using them in any video-game-related media without Capcom's express permission anywhere breaks laws. In fact, Capcom wouldn't be able to give you permission, anyway; GateMan, KendoMan and GridMan are technically NOT their ideas.

This is likely the reason that Capcom wouldn't let this potentially awesome idea of Mr. Marceau's make it into VG form back in 2003.

Someone might wanna get the message around to Mr. Marceau about removing Gate Man. I'd send him the PM, but, he might trust the word of someone with more seniority around here.
