Alright, you guys want me to give this a spin? I'll give this a spin. First, I'll have to set a few boundaries, though: 1. This will be done in the traditional paragraph format (Meaning all words, none of that picture stuff). Therefore, I will be expecting a certain level of detail in your responses… Read More

Insanity Man looked over to Gamble Man, and held out his bag of popcorn. Gamble Man took a handful, and they continued to watch. "You know, I'm glad you got here. I was expecting a medium bag, but I guess I got an extra-large. I couldn't eat all that, considering I already eat this morning. You're pretty good with those explosives, kid." said Insanity Man with a smile. Perhaps he's warning up to his allies? Nah.

"You know though....It was serve yourself down there in the popcorn room, so I put a LOT of butter in there. Naturally, we don't want to fat ourselves up, so if you would put out your hands...."

Of course, being the doubting and curious being he is, Gamble Man didn't seem too excited to do something for the maniacal robot. He put out his hands, but prepared himself for whatever the shell robot might dish out. Instead of attacking, Insanity dumped out all the popcorn and a lot of grease all over his hands. All that was left in the bucket was a pool of goopy butter. Gamble Man was disgusted, as no one would want popcorn and butter all over their hands, but Insanity Man reassured him. "Before you decide to dump it all over the place, may I remind you that is lunch. Now, hold off. Hey, Pawnster!"

The Pawn was right below Insanity, so he looked up. Insanity-Man dumped the pool of butter all over the Pawn's eyes, turned into ball form, and then dropped on the expendable robot. He landed directly on him, but the attack didn't do much. Pawn wasn't too affected by this, and punted the ball back onto the balcony. Insanity Man turned back into his regular form, and had a small ember on his nose. He did the old comical, two-finger swish(You know, what everyone does in the movies when they have a small flame on a hair or something.), and motioned Gamble Man to put the popcorn back into the bucket. He grabbed a handkerchief from his shell, and gave it to Gamble Man to wipe his hands with. Pawn wasn't too damamged by Insanity's little attack, but his vision was clouded. He tried to wipe off the butter off his eyes, but to not much avail. He proceeded to fight, but only this time, he couldn't track his opponent's movement as well.

[OOC: If anyone wants to complain how ridiculous this is, it didn't really damage Pawn all that much, so Print still has some things to do to finish him off. I thought this would fit Insanity Man well, given his unpredictable character. I mean really, who expected this?

Also, Gamble and Insanity are currently enjoying their popcorn while the others fight for their life. You know, unless our Mage friend wants to enjoy some popcorn or fight some pawns with Print Man. Either one.

SPOILER: You'd have to be pretty crazy to pick Pawn over Popcorn. Just saying.]

"Cowards!" Print Man shouted as Pawn once again slugged him in the jaw. He reeled backwards, stumbling into a rose bush. Seething in fury, he tore up the bush and hurled it towards the fiery fiend.

Pawn smiled in satisfaction under his faceplate as the foe went sailing back. He was going to win this skirmish—or, he thought he was, until the unexpected "attack" from above struck his eyes...then his entirety. Knocked flat onto his back, he stumbled to his feet, only to be hit with a rose bush and downed again. In his momentary fury, he burned the bush, shouting "enough!"

Stumbling over toward the fountain, the one standing Pawn approached the seven downed ones, each of whom merged back into him as he approached. The end result was a single Pawn, less briused and battered than they had each been separately, but still clearly battle-worn. "As far as I am concerned, you have bested me. Go forth and fight your next foe!" With a snap of his fingers, the doors leading into the tower swung open. He stood silently looking around at the wreckage of the courtyard. "I'll...stay here, and...uh...clean up."

Upon hearing the Pawn's words, Gamble Man hopped back to the ground. "Alright. 1 challenge down, who knows how many left to go." mumbled Gamble Man. "Are we ready to go?" asked Gamble Man. Insanity Man seemed saddened that the show was over, Mage Man seemed calm and collected, almost as if he was used to this kind of thing, and Print Man looked to be rather upset, but Gamble Man wasn't sure why. Then again, Gamble Man was never good at reading emotions.

Getting to his feet, Print Man dusted off his coat and sheathed his sword. "Well, that could have gone over better" he grumbled. He briefly surveyed the scene around him before turning to Gamble Man. "I suppose we ought to be on our way. As for what's ahead, I have a few theories. But there are no secrets that time does not reveal, as Racine said."

Mage Man thought. Who knows WHAT'S next. A knight? No... can't be a Knight, there is already a Knight MAN. Bishop? Warrior? Whoever it is, I'm ready.

Insanity Man got back on the garden floor. Popcorn in hand, he walked over to the broken Pawn. Whispering so that his allies cannot hear, he says

"When I become King's Herald, I will make life for you a living nightmare. Remember that, because I will become the Herald. Ok, bye! Hehe!"

Insanity caught up with the rest of the group. As they looked onto what they might face next, Insanity Man puts up that familiar smirk, and goes into ball form. He revs up, and once again, he speeds to the next challenge. As he does, he leaves his teammates the decision....Do they want to press forward, or do they want to turn back as their teammate once again tries to speed through?

Of course, they could just stop him and tell him to wait.

[OOC: No one is going to turn back, because that will not happen.]

The interior of King's Tower was more lavish than it was before. Instead of dull greenish and bluish bricks, the place had been refurbished, and bright red banners displaying crests of different makes now adorned the walls. A couple more squat, dark humanoid Robots could be seen milling about, but as soon as they saw Gamble-Man walk through the doors, they exited in a hurry. Save for some support beams, it seemed to be a straight shot to the next staircase leading upward, but as the party crossed the circular room, they passed by a large stained-glass window depicting a weary King marching over hill and dale—which was suddenly broken as a figure came charging into the room, laughing gaily.

He was much larger than Pawn before him, and he was clad from head to toe in a bright cerulean armor with majestic white trimming. A helm covered his head, with a cross-shaped slit for his eyes, but most striking about the man was the giant lance in his hand, easily taller than he, and the Robotic horse he rode in on, which, like himself, was covered in a plate armor, dull and gray.

His horse came to a stop before the challengers, and he stared down the four of them. "Greetings, dear warriors!" he called out, his voice cheery and harmonious. A brief silence. "My name is Knight, second of the King's Men, and I am your next opponent!" ...Another brief silence. "What? Do you mistake me for Knight-Man, representative of the United Kingdom at the First Annual Robot Tournament? I assure you, I am not he...though I did once fight him. ...I lost, unfortunately...but that was a long time ago!

"Indeed, enough with the banter! Today, you will fight me like a man...or woman, if you prefer. Try to knock me off my Iron Horse!" As if in response, the metal horse underneath him whinnied and charged straight at the group.

Mage Man was surprised. "Well, that was unexpected. But I accept your challenge!" he said, then he threw 3 Mage Fireballs at Knight.

"First the garden, and now that window. King must not have even the smallest ounce of respect for his own possessions. Perhaps that just shows how rich he really is?" thought Gamble Man as he caught his breath. And did he just mention Knight Man? He remembered that Flame Man often talked about that robot. Very defensive, Gamble remembered he said. Perhaps this horseback riding opponent would be as well?

Ducking behind a pillar to evade Knight's charge, Print Man took a moment to strategize. A knight on horseback...just as I theorized!" He thought to himself. "If King's challenges are chess-themed, and we've already seen a Pawn and a Knight, next will be a Rook, a Bishop, a Queen, and finally...a King. The King, no doubt."

"But back to the situation at hand. If my studies of medieval literature have taught me anything, it's that plate armor was bulky and difficult to maneuver in on foot. If a strong enough blow can forcibly dismount that fiend, he'll be a sitting duck while we bombard him from afar!"

Print Man's musings were interrupted as Knight battered through the pillar he was taking cover behind. Scrambling back to his allies, Print Man unsheathed his Vorpal Pen and prepared for battle.

Insanity Man, standing for the blow as the idiot he is, overheard Print Man's little dialogue. "Hmm, a strong enough blow, eh? Considering I hold the most power as is, I'll just take down this Knight." However, right after that, the horse trampled Insanity Man.

"Oh, my shell....Gonna feel that one in the morning. Enough!" Insanity Man bellowed "Knave, if you truly wish to defeat me in battle, you must put up a better offense than thy opponent! Like so."

While Knight was distracted from the barrage of attacks from the others, Insanity Man charged him with all the force he had. However, before reaching him, Knight's mechanical steed attacked with his rear legs, sending Insanity Man flying back.

"Hmmm...It seems he has a telepathic link with his Hi-ho Silver. Well, I can expect him to separate with his giddy-up sometime soon, attacking us in groups of two. I could share my little hypothesis, but I think if I kept some things to myself, they wouldn't mind. Actually, maybe the horse just got lucky and maybe they don't have a link. Just me guessing. Oh yeah....I'm supposed to be helping in the fight. Let's see...."

Insanity Man rolled at him this time, this time aiming at the front-side of Knight. As he rolled closer, he once again spring-boarded and flew at the Knight. It did modest damage, but nothing too serious. Knight prepared his lance, swung, and flew Insanity right out of the ball-park.
