ah yes shovel knight, a character that because he is not from mega man, would require practically impossible amounts of IP garbage, so much better than that pesky mega man 5


What I'm trying to say from that sarcastic sentence is while that be....cool, I guess, the majority would prefer actual mega man. A cameo thing might be possible but would be weird and unneeded, and again, would require tons of IP garbage. Besides the obvious IP garbage that would be needed, there would have to be sprites, programming, and what not. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, these bizarre ideas like this would be cool, but an actual, new update (though that teaser "update" was neat) is what the majority wants. Sorry for disappointing you, if you really did want this.

Remember the game, the one that violated many copyright laws and was free? Just because it's free doesn't mean it can't get sued, because there are large chances of getting sued no matter if it's free or paid.

And does that actually mean anything? It won't happen, maybe it'll happen with megaman fangames or something, but shovel knight or anything non-megaman related? Dream on, it won't happen. And on another note... What do you mean by being created by Yacht Club, yes they made it, but what does it mean for this thread?

Now, what. On the subject of "its a fangame we can't get sued waahhhh"...Do you not remember AM2R? Pokemon Uranium? DMCAs are a thing. Companys can, in fact, use them. Second, cool, it was made by Yacht Club, neat. They still have the power to, and very much can, take down this game for using their IP without their permission. While Capcom has before indirectly said they will not ever take down any Mega Man fangames, Yacht Club still can. Of course, it very much is possible, after all, Super Fighting Robot did have a secret Shovel Knight boss fight, but none the less, it would be unneeded, and unnecessary.

If Yacht Club is interested in having Shovel Knight in Mega Man RPG, as naturally who wouldn't, they can feel free to contact the staff here to negotiate having Shovel Knight appear as an exclusive guest character. I expect their flood of pleading emails shortly. Otherwise, the inclusion of Shovel Knight, while not impossible, isn't necessarily something the staff is interested in, despite our fervent enjoyment of their lovingly-crafted and to-this-day recommendable hit game, Shovel Knight. It would be pretty cool though, wouldn't it?

@MegaBossMan : yes I hope Shovel Knight is an exclusive guest character. Then I would be happy to meet him, yay.
