Attention! This is a legacy build of the Mega Man RPG from 2017 and is no longer being maintained.
Reported bugs will not be fixed and any progress made here will not be saved.
Return to the archive index for more legacy content or
play the current version of the game for all the new stuff.
Where the FAQ thread is meant to be for bullet-point facts that will be listed somewhere on the website together, this is for actual topic/thread requests.
As you can see, the mechanics forum is dedicated to posts by myself outlining various mechanics in the game that I feel require a bit more explaining than is available in-game. We have topics for Robot Cores, Robot Stats, Weapon Energy, Password Prompts, and more, but if you can think of anything else that needs covering just let me know in the comments!
Thanks again!

I still don't know how that works :P so a topic on that would be great.
I understand you need an explanation, but I don't think it merits a Mechanics thread. This is the thread you're looking for. Also, there's a dropdown list of formatting options to the bottom right of the posting box that addressing any and all formatting issues or confusions, as well as this thread that addresses the basics of formatting (which includes images). Lastly, there are some images that just refuse to work on this forum; I know from experience. My solution is to use puush to highlight it and post it because puush works like a charm.
I think the Mega man, Proto man, and Bass's stats and buster shot move should be changed in the next update, such as proto man's buster shot doing more damage, but has 1/2 defense as Mega man and Bass.
@MusicalKitty : I think you're looking for this thread. The Explanation Request thread is to suggest mechanics or foundational basics that would be worth creating a new topic in order to explain.
ZeroDXZ:um, i didn't check to see if this was explained already or not but i'm asking this here... If the Shadow versions of Mega-Man (or Mega-Man S in the 2nd Final Destination arena), Bass, and Proto-man are supposedly the "Perfect Copies" wouldn't they either have the same weaknesses or the reverse of the Originals weaknesses? ((Again, i didn't check to see if this was explained,..nor did i check the Prototypes Database....) (i know....i'm terrible))

The Explanation Request thread is to suggest mechanics or foundational basics that would be worth creating a new topic in order to explain. Your question is better off posted here.
@Mentle : You get them using Copy Shot if an opponent (Water Core for Laser Trident, Crystal for Jewel Satellite, and Water OR Explode for Bubble Bomb) used the weapon before you use Copy Shot. Alternatively for Bubble Bomb, I think there's a code for it, something like "Weapon Get! Bubble Bombs Away!" or whatever. To type in codes, select a player and click on the doctor's icon multiple times in the stage select.
It's close enough to a mechanic, but you'll have to unlock and equip the weapon "Copy Shot", and then find a robot that at the very most you would suspect have that weapon (For instance, a robot with the same core), and after they attack with the weapon you wanted, use the Copy Shot ability to damage and copy that weapon.
@prototedd : A lot doesn't even begin to cover it. This'll come across as lazy but allow me to copy and paste you one of the many answers I've given to this question.
"And rest assured you're not the only one. The thing is though, we've got bigger things on our plate and the development team would like to make creating and rounding out a better game first before we start adding content, that while certainly players would love to see, wouldn't be an efficient use of time at the moment.
As with everything in our development cycle, we can't necessarily answer when things will come out like new robots or the next update; this game isn't built on a specific schedule, it's really just a culmination of a large total of free time from our programmer and other miscellaneous help from other staff members. I'm aware that's not really a satisfactory answer, but I'm not going to mince words in saying it's a honest answer and it's just a matter of 'Things'll be ready when they're ready.' Thank you for continuing to play and enjoy the game though, it's very much appreciated! :D"
