"This isn't for me or Doctor... this is for all the love in the universe!" |
"I'm the world's 'Splendid Noble Youth!' My stars will defend all!" |
"There may be billions of stars out there, but there's only one Star Man!" |
"There's always show business, I suppose..." |
Among Dr. Wily’s catalogue of Robot Masters, Star Man stands out as one of the most eccentric, and that’s saying something. Intended to maintain an abandoned space station, Star Man was designed to work under variable gravity fields. Space Debris has become exponentially more common in the year 20XX, so Dr. Wily also outfitted Star Man with the Star Crash so that he could protect himself, a defensive weapon not unlike those of Skull Man or Wood Man. Star Man has anything but a shielded personality, though. A romanticist deeply in love with the thespian arts, Star Man has found great success in film, much to the chagrin of Flash Man. You’d think it was all the time control and gravity distortion technology that drained Dr. Wily’s wallet, but it was actually the costs of Star Man’s early filmography that exhausted his bank account. Dr. Wily had to focus so heavily on saving money in Gyro and Crystal Man’s designs just to fund the special effects of Star Man’s first space opera! Star Man’s sentimental personality annoys his more pragmatic minded brethren, isolating the intergalactic Robot Master even further. It’s lonely out in space, and despite his constant requests, Dr. Wily has yet to make a companion for Star Man. Poor Star Man seems doomed to burn out his fuse up there all alone….
