I'm voting for Proto Man because of Whistle Concert, his design, and his backstory.

@MerryBossClaus, TailsMK4: ..Hmmm... I had intended the game to mainly be 5 players per battle, but I guess for the first few missions, it would be okay for more than that. If Ender would like to join as Bomb Man, I'll allow it.

As for progress on the game, I'm doing a few sprites for visuals. Though they're all minorly edited versions of a certain sprite sheet I'll show as soon as I release the RP.

Proto Man, because he's probably the deepest backstory in the Classic series, and his design.
Mega Man, because he's main character of the series, and he got into Smash Bros.
Terra, because of the opening scene of Megaman World 5
Sunstar, because he's a literal doomsday weapon

I'll take out the Swift Core, Impact Core, and Omega Stage cards to be replaced by the following 3 Support cards:

Name: Smart Bomb
Core: Explode
Description: Deals 50 Explode damage to both the user and the opponent.

Name: Damage Ratio x2.0
Core: Shadow
Description: For 3 turns, both user and target take double damage, and any healing is halved (rounded down). Effect may be canceled early if a Crystal attack or a Crystal support card is used.

Name: Pain Split
Core: Neutral
Description: Takes the combined amount of both user and target's HP and distributes them evenly between the two (HP is always rounded up).

I'll add 3 more cards for a 30 card deck.

Name: Mewtwo
Core: Crystal
Health: 160
Attack 1: Confusion
Attack Description: Deals 20 Crystal damage. On the target's next attack, flip a coin. If tails, the attack does nothing.
Attack 2: Shadow Ball
Attack 2 Description: Deals 60 Shadow damage. Mewtwo's next attack deals 10 more damage.
Attack 3: Psystrike
Attack 3 Description: Crushes the foes with 90 Crystal damage. Ignores weakness and resistance.
Resistance: Impact
Weakness: Shadow

Name: Lucario
Core: Laser
Health: 150
Power: Aura Rage
Power Description: Lucario's Aura increases by damage. Every 20 damage Lucario has sustained increases his Aura Level by 1 (i.e. Lucario has 110 HP left, Aura Level = 2, Lucario has 70 HP left, Aura Level = 4, etc). Aura level automatically starts at Level 0.
Attack 1: Aura Sphere
Attack 1 Description: Deals 40 Laser damage. Damage increases by 10 for every level of Aura.
Attack 2: Aura Storm
Attack 2 Description: Deals Laser damage equal to [Aura Level] * 20. Lucario cannot attack next turn.
Resistance: Shadow
Weakness: Flame

Name: Dracula
Core: Shadow
Health: 180
Attack 1: Hellfire
Attack Description: Flip 3 coins. For each heads, this attack does 40 Flame damage
Attack 2: Dark Inferno
Attack 2 Description: Unleashes a blast of dark energy dealing 70 Shadow damage. If the opponent has a weakness to Explode, this attack does 20 extra damage
Attack 3: Soul Steal
Attack 3 Description: Deals 60 Shadow damage and heals Dracula by 30 HP
Resistance: Shadow
Weakness: Crystal

Also, I'm not sure if I've missed something, but what happens to damage on an enemy w/ a weakness (i.e. Striking Dracula with a Crystal attack). Does it double damage? Does it increase damage by 30 or something? Same question about Resistance.

@Brimscrooge : Granted! Bubble Man is now so weak, that he rusts in water, meaning that while you're beating his stage, he's currently rusting into unidentifiable scrap metal. This sounds good on paper, but now you can't get his weapon, and the Alien Final Boss is now untouchable. Have fun.

2. How did you come up with your username?
3. Who's your favorite Robot Master?
4. What's your favorite sport when you need to go outside?
5. If you could only play one video game for the rest of your life, fan-made or professional, what game would that be?
6. You state that you're playing this game on a Wii U, so how many Amiibo do you have in your collection? (If any)
7. It's the Zombie Apocalypse; what's the first weapon you'd grab that is in your house?

So let me get this straight.

1. You started off fighting Oil Man
2. Somehow you started playing as Oil Man.

First of all, was Oil Man in your team? Did you just accidentally swap to him? You make it seem like it happens often, so get a screenshot next time that happens. How you do a screenshot may vary, but you should have a key on your keyboard that states "Print Screen." Press that button, and you'll gain a screen shot. Upload that screenshot to an image sharing site such as Imgur or PhotoBucket. Now there should be a link on the right of the image you just uploaded that ends in ".png". Copy that link, then use the following Code to paste it in a post.

[image](Insert copied link here)

Post that comment, and the mods/developers/people who have been here a while should be able to address the problem correctly. Thank you for your time.

@Dr. Jekyll : I'd like to add upon that:

Even using Elemental attacks that don't do damage on first strike will keep you from unlocking the Robot Master. This means that even using a harmless attack like Leaf Shield or Skull Barrier. However, if you use Elemental Attacks while the Robot Masters is NOT active (i.e. one of his minions), then the Robot Master should still be able to be unlocked.

@MusicalKitty: Don't worry about Necroposting on this thread; it's made for fan input 24/7 :D. As for your concern, I do believe it's okay. After all, Mega Man Unlimited and Rokka Chan both have "Jet Man" as one of the robot masters. In the end, we're all fan games, so it should be okay. Speaking of Unlimited...

@megaprotobassman: I'll split this response into two parts:
1. This is not the thread to talk about things like that. Please put your ideas for the game here This thread is for talk on Adrian's unique robot masters he wants to add eventually (they can be seen in the database).

2. As stated here, this game MAY include some fan-made robot masters from other fan-games (and maybe even our own characters), but it'll have to wait until about we get every robot master from Megaman 5-10, MM&B, and Megaman V (GB).

I have a lot of ideas for robot masters. However, when going through the sketches, I realized most/all of them needed redoes. Here's the first of the reduxes: Assassin Man

The Master of Silent Desolation

I decided to cut out any unnecessary parts just to make the main design more obvious. I might make a moveset later, but here's some of the inspiration for his design:
Searchman.exe (Megaman Battle Network 4-5) - The Sniper Rifle from Searchman was built upon. A lot.
The Sniper (Team Fortress 2) - The coloration of the of The Sniper was a heavy influence on Assassain Man. Also, the hat.

NOTE: I have no idea why I decided to name him "Assassin Man" of all things. In fact, earlier designs (that I won't show) were a robed robot with a katana. I guess snipers are kinda assassins. Anyway, feel free to critic anything about Assassin Man. No SLASH THINGZ? Robe? I'll see what I can do. With all that said, here's an example of why I won't become an artist for a job.

Yes and No, as far as I know:

NO: The Support bots do not seem to gain any new abilities in the next update, but...

YES: You could make the support bots hold an elemental core, granting them access to any elemental attack(s).

2. Unfortunately, you'll have to be patient to download stats. The next update SHOULD allow Roll to have some firepower (both speaking metaphorically and literally :D) though, so either way, you'll have to be paitient.

Just to clear this up, Mega Evolution is allowed. When Mikey stated "digivolving allowed," I thought it was a joke question about how both of these are pretty much carbon copies. My bad. Anyone who thought I meant no Mega Evolution can go ahead and update their team.

1. Actually, draws are now impossible. Pokemon now has a rule that in case of a draw, the person who committed suicide loses the match.
2. There's a simple 6 on 6 match to determine who wins the Round Robin
3. Yes and No. Some legendaries are too powerful for regular play and are called "Uber" Pokemon. Here's the full ban-list on "Uber":
Legends: Arceus (All Types), Darkrai, Deoxys (All Forms), Dialga, Gensect (All Drives), Giratina (Both Forms), Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, White-Kyurem, Lugia, Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin (Sky Form only), Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zekrom.
Non-Legends: Aegislash, Blaziken, and Greninja
Megas: Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, Mega Mawile, Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Rayquaza
Ask Smogon why these pokemon are Uber, not me
4. All Pokemon are, by default, Level 100. However, you can, for whatever reason, make them any level from 1-100.
5. No

I've been leaning towards a Round Robin Tournament, but I'll need your Pokemon team for reference on some of the matches. Send me the "code" of your pokemon team via PM.

In case you are wondering what I mean...

There you go

If you don't send me the code of your team, You'll automatically be disqualified, so this is kinda sorta important.

Retro Pikachu purposely gets hit by both Shadow Blades, raising up his HYPER METER up a bit more, now at around 31% (formula below). Retro Pikachu fires off Retro Proto Strike to destroy the shield.
My Take on Hyper Meter Formula (at least for Retro Pikachu):
([Recoil Hits] + (3 * [Times Hit]) + (5 * [Successful Attacks that do damage to opponent]))0.01

So...

(3 + (3*6) + (5*2))0.01 = 0.31 = 31%

3 recoil hits from hitting Skull Barrier
Hit by 3 buster shots AND 3 shadow blades
1 Successful Wood Tower attack AND 1 Successful Lava Tower

PHEW!

On the subject of Boss characters, why don't we add special gimmicks in each fight? Most RPGs have bosses as characters with high stats and health. That's it. Why don't we add a little twist in the fights?

Enker:
All attacks on his stage gain the "targeting" effect. Enker has 5x his regular defense, but there are 4 crystals with ___HP. Players will need to target and destroy the crystals in order to have a better chance against Enker, as it lowers his defense to 4x, then 3x, then 2x, and finally just plain, normal, defense. Also, moves that do percent (%) damage will be greatly weakened. Also, Enker could have some sort of healing ability. It wouldn't be OP like Whitney's Miltank, but it would help his high defenses and keep his crystals alive.

Punk:
Being a teenager, Punk would cheat a little... okay, a lot. He would be able to mess up your stats, change your attacks, alter your items, or even make your weaknesses/resistances/etc. completely different! He would be able to attack twice, and some of his attacks would involve the above conditions. However, the cheating device can be disabled for 3 turns if he's hit by a super effective attack. Every time that he uses the cheating device, he will change his weakness around to keep things interesting!

Ballade:
Finish him off quickly, because we've got an armed bomber here! In the background, there is a timebomb, and it'll go off every 3 turns, dealing 100 damage the first time it blows. Another 3 turns, it'll become 150 damage. Then 200, 250, and so on. There is NO limit here; the bomb could go to the 1000s given enough time! Not to mention the bomb will only set off on your side. The bomb does do neutral damage, so while you don't have to worry about double damage, you can't resist in any shape or form.

EDIT: I found more bosses guys!

Quint:
The floor's lava, the floor's lava, the floor's- ...not lava. But it's falling! Before each turn, there is a 20% chance that the floor will collapse a bit. Not only do all attacks suffer a 10% accuracy decrease, but all Earth and Impact abilities will absolutely fail to hit the target! ...Unless you're Quint. Cheater! Don't worry though, at the end of the turn, the field will return to normal... hopefully.

Doc Robot:
Anyone who's played Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow will recognize this one. Doc Robot's moveset would vary GREATLY, as it (and his moveset) change ALL THE TIME! Whenever Doc Robot here gets hit by an element that isn't what he's currently, he'll change elements, as well as his moveset and other things. i.e. Doc Robot gets hit by Electric Overdrive. Doc Robot changes his element to electric, and his moveset becomes something like Thunder Beam, Electric Shot, Electric Buster, Electric Overdrive, Thunder Strike, Bright Burst, and so on!

Copy Robots (Yes, all of them):
Have them copy the moveset of the members of your current team. Extreme focus on Copy Robots. Simple mechanic, but they are essentially a mirror match.

King:
The master of the chess board here will swap between 2 forms: Defend, and Offense. Every 3-5 turns, King would swap from Defend to Offense form, and vice-versa. In Shield form, King would gain plain REDONKULOUS defenses, and have a few Laser and Shield attacks. But swap up that shield for an axe, because King would have absolutely DESTRUCTIVE offensive power, with Cutter, Impact, and Swift attacks to back himself up. Not too much of a "gimmick" per say, but I think it works.

That's all for now...

@Adrian Marceau : Sorry for the wait!

I'm actually not too sure why I liked the core change system. I guess it's the fact I'm a sucker for super forms (Super Adaptor, Super Sonic, Starboy, Mega Evolution, Beast Out, etc etc) that having the copy core bots transform and have more uses of ____ kinda felt OP. The good kind of OP. However, I can see why it can be viewed as boring, and the new sub-core system allows for lots of battle strategy and allows me to give Roll "the ultimate cleanser" :3

Actually, think twice before doing it on a met. Do it on the big boys (robots)! Go to any stage that has a robot (not mecha) and repeat the strategy on the robot. This will harvest 100 stat points as opposed to 50.

Retro took slight damage from the bomb. Realizing how long this was taking, he faced the audience

proto-manSorry for taking so long to answer! Anyway, I beleive we should end this now... Raging Retro Demon!!!

@Phoenix Wright : Then how can you say that it was there? You can't expect me to read minds to see that you had a second crash bomb. What you're saying is that I can just say that I can place a "deleterize bomb" on your robot at any time without even saying that I did. I don't believe that you can do that. And saying "I forgot to post it" means that you never did place the bomb.

@thefastestlink : "...Just understand that you can only make standard chips." Sorry, no Dark Chips. If you want, you could have the chip do recoil damage, but you need to specify how much. Also, "cracks the entire field" doesn't work. The battles are in a "Open World" style, just watch the Megaman NT Warrior anime to see what I mean. Also, what do you mean by "+20 if hits head on?" Please specify these things. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I need to know what you mean in certain things.

tl:dr

thefastestlink: Field has no set "panels." Battle is Megaman NT Warrior style.

bckslash: Specify "head on"

dark chips: Not allowed, only standard chips. Specify how much damage is dealt to user.

@MetaKirbSter : I picked MM&B as well. I didn't pick it because it's hard alone, because then that would just be bad... but this hard is more like cheap! Most of the enemy placement and spike placement will just catch you off guard and cause a TON of unfair deaths. Not to mention, there are a TON of pixel-perfect jumps and slides. At least, if you're playing as Mega Man. Also, most of the bosses can only be beaten by their weakness, meaning that you need to beat the game in a VERY CERTAIN ORDER. Find anyone who doesn't do the below order and they are MASTERS!!! And finally, in my opinion, there was never a part where I said "I can do this," or "This weapon is awesome!" or "This boss is hard, but I WILL beat him!" Rather, it was more like "ARGHH!!!! I DIED AGAIN! IMMA GO PLAY MEGAMAN BATTLE NETWORK >:(!!!" I know that's a cheap reason to put it as my least favorite, but honestly, I've never played MM8 - MM10. And I had at least one part in MM1 - MM7 where I said the above sentences of enjoyment. That's not to say that I never enjoyed MM&B, and I had some fun moments, but the bad just outweighs the bad in my opinion. Just my 2 cents.

Order mention earlier: Cold Man --> Burner Man --> Pirate Man --> Ground Man --> Tengu Man --> Magic Man --> Astro Man --> Dynamo Man

proto-manFinally? Oh right, the only time we ever met was when I disabled you with a laser attack.

Retro Pikachu turns to the audience, specifically at Ninja Man.

proto-manOh yeah, as it turns out, it takes more than a cheap shot to destroy me! While my body and most of my data failed me, my spirit still lived! I managed to create a few special robots, though only two of which you shall see! And when I... er... attempted to control that second HWN, I also read a few of his memories. Now then, enough rambling, let's see you try this on for size!

Retro Pikachu fires off the Retro Laser V2! (All of Retro's attacks have gained 50% attack bonus since last time. He has been training. However, Retro has gained some new techniques... Also, this is not canon to the actual Dungeons and Robot Masters.)

I always had this idea of a Mega Man V GB Remake. May as well post my ideas here. Note that all the robot masters (stardroids) are accessible from the start, and there is no "mid-boss" after beating 4 stardroids.

Name: Mega Man World 5: Remastered

Player: Mega Manmega-man/Proto Manproto-man (Unlockable)

Intro Stage Boss: Terra (Unbeatable)

After match, you upgrade from Mega Buster to Mega Arm! You can repurchase the Mega Buster for zenny, but it costs a lot and you won't be able to until you've beaten 4 stardroids.

Stardroids (Quicker this way): Mercury, Mars, Venus, Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, and Saturn

Weaknesses: Mercury - Saturn Nebula, Saturn - Jupiter Shock, Jupiter - Venus Bomb, Venus - Mars Missile, Mars - Neptune Water, Neptune - Uranus Digger, Uranus - Pluto Break, Pluto - Mercury Drain

- In all of the stages, you can find a power crystal. Collect them all to collect an energy saver, which reduces your weapon energy by 50%! There are nine in all because...
- In the last 4 mentioned Stardroids (Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, and Saturn), you can find Proto Man hidden somewhere in the stage. For the first 3 encounters, he'll fight you, getting stronger and stronger after each fight. On the 4th encounter, Proto Man will give you the last power crystal.

Now that you're armed with all the weapons, enter the Terra UFO!!!!

Terra UFO 1: Dark Moon (Yellow Devil only black...)
Terra UFO 2: Left & Right Arm (You fight both at the same time)
Terra UFO 3: Terra Statue (Stone Statue that can levitate and shoot lasers in all 8 directions. The lasers do not home on. Terra Statue can slam the ground, and cause shockwaves that knock you to your feet and damage.)
Terra UFO 4: Stardroid Rematches (People who have played the game might be surprised, but you'll see why in a second).
Terra UFO TOP: Terra (Fights you like he did in the intro stage, but second phase involves Terra Jumping into a giant robot that shoot a lot of lasers and can punch you).

What's this? It's not Terra! Wily was behind it all along! As Wily fires off a laser from his Capsule, he flees to the Wily Star!

Wily Star 1: Exterior Defense Systems (You fight in space with "Rush Marine in space." You can use the special weapons!)
Wily Star 2: Mega Man Killer Rematches (Fight Enker, Quint, Punk, Ballade, and Terra's First Phase similar to boss rematches!)
Wily Star 3: Prototype "F" (Bass fight from MMU basically, only that he doesn't have treble)
Wily Star 4: Wily Crusher

Before you enter the center room of the Wily Star, Proto Man appears and heals you and your weapons.

Wily Star 5: Sunstar (His first phase is a combination of all the phases from the original, his second involves using his giant laser and upgraded versions of the special weapons, while his final phase involves fighting him on a level where there is no floor (via Rush Space), while he busts out upgraded attacks from his first phase and using the second phase weapons).

If you beat the game on hard mode, an extra mode will appear, where the difficulty is set to 11.5! Also, if you've encountered Proto Man all 5 times, and you've beaten the game on at least normal difficulty, then you will be allowed to play as Proto Man!

@Bt Man: 2 Things

1. I've reduced the number to 16 contestants (By Removing Megaman?Ω and AirManΩ), which would be perfect because:

First: 16 to 8
Second: 8 to 4
Third: 4 to 2
Final: 2 to 1

2. Not a perfect bracket maker, but you could use the list option on random.org to generate the matches.

WARNING! WARNING! IMPORTANT NEWS BELOW!!!!!! WARNING! WARNING!

Guys, I would like to make one thing clear. Please, for the love of everything that is good, use proper grammer!!! It's kind of annoying to fix little capitalization errors and spelling errors that you could just avoid easily! Also, try not to put extra spaces and little decoration things. I like to simply copy and paste the achievements and move on with my life. It's much less time-consuming to go back and take out the "robots" and enter stuff. Thus, please just post your achievements like it shows in the achievements. You CAN add color ([type]) to the challenges that you make, but don't add robots. Go ahead and do it for your checklists, but not for the challenges. Do note that I don't mind making just one capitalization error or missing a period is fine. Just don't flood the entire challenge list. If you do not follow this, then I will not include your achievement, even if it is perfectly fine. Thank you for saving just a few seconds of my life.
WARNING! WARNING! IMPORTANT NEWS ABOVE!!! STOP THE COMMENT THAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO MAKE!!! WARNING! WARNING!

In Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U, Mega Man's alt colors are, obviously, colors of weapons he uses. However, all the alts are based on weapons that Mega Man has brought to Smash EXCEPT the Grey/Yellow alt. It is based on Thunder Beam OR Thunder Wool, non of which appear in Mega Man's arsenal. HOWEVER, Elec Man is the owner of the Thunder Beam, who appears as an Assist Trophy.

EDIT: Actually, the alt is based on Top Spin. Thanks to RhythymBCA for pointing out this DERP.

Unless you count [Copy X]{copy_weapons}, Mega Man Volnutt is the only incarnation of Megaman to not appear in every game of his series (there was a spin-off title called "The Misadventures of Tron Borne(?)"). Also, Mega Man (Star Force series) is the only incarnation of Mega Man (again, unless you count [Copy X]{copy_weapons}) to not appear in a fighting game as a playable character.

Hi there.

For those of you who were wondering why I decided to take a break, it was mostly because I wanted to focus on other things. School is still a thing, but Winter Break is coming up! Truth be told, I was watching anonymously, but I figured I could rejoin this place. I have some plans for 2015, but I'm not telling :p. By the way, SOME ONE ACTUALLY POSTED AN "I'M BACK" HERE INSTEAD OF MAKING ANOTHER THREAD! HURRAY!

P.S. When I said "next year" I meant "Jan. 2015."
P.S.S. Seeing as the Season Finale is near, I have a feeling a certain someone will get revived...

WE'RE OFFICIALLY IN VERSION 1.0! HIP HIP HURRAY!!!!!!!!!

Seriously guys, I'll add a few things here and there, but the guide is pretty finished in my eyes. Here's the quick FAQ that the thread wouldn't let me add...
[dr-light Quick FAQ dr-cossack]{speed_swift}

I'm going to be honest, it's fairly annoying to see the same questions here over and over and OVER again. Thus, this happened.
Q: How do I unlock/Are you planning to make the Megaman Killers/Quint/Megaman 5 Robot Masters Etc. Etc.?
A: "...You just can't unlock them as of yet." ~MegaBossMan
Q: THAT DOESN'T HELP SDFJIOJHSUIDVJ SFHdsfhaosdja
A: Better answer for the above question? Fine. Adrian has a life, and I wouldn't say it's on this game. This game is really more of a side project while he deals with life 'n' stuff. Adrian DOES plan to make pretty much everything unlock-able at one point, but we are very far from that point.
Q: How do I unlock the Mega Man 3 Robot Masters?
A: First, begin to grind in Bonus Field II after beating the Final Bosses. You should find some MM3 Masters there. Scan them, beat the level, and head to Kalinka's Shop. They're quite pricey, so you might need to go on more than one Zenny Grinding session.
Q: WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN DO THIS YOU LITTLE PUNK!!!! ~inevitable comment below.
A: *dodges thrown table* Calm down! I may not be a staff member, but I feel like this would make things a bazillion times easier for the mods.
Q: I'm back! I'm going to MAKE A THREAD ON-
A: STOP RIGHT THERE! Don't do this please. Why am I restating this from the rules? It's because some extra insurance since it always happens every now and then.
Q: When's the next update?
A: Whenever Adrian's done. He'll make a thread when he's almost done/ready to announce some details.
Q: How do I do (X)/I have a question!
A: See this thread to check if the question has been answered before. If it hasn't, post a comment in there and someone will most likely answer it.
Q: Some pictures look... outdated.
A: This thread took WAAAAAYYYYYY longer than it should've. Many updates were made during the creation period. I might occasionally update any pictures if something happens.
Q: Where's [insert robot here that some people might think is in the game]?
A: I'm going to make this quick and clear. The only robot masters that are available are in the Data Base. On the bottom of each Robot Master's page, there is a number that states "Unlocked By ______ Players." If that number is higher than 0, than you can unlock him/her.
Q: Why is this so short? I can read it in 5 minutes!
A: Because there isn't much to say. It's really just here for people who've never been on the internet/need help on this community. If you have a suggestion, just place it as a comment. I might just add it on the guide if necessary.

I'd just like to make a point on idea #2:

Sure, it has the potential of copying broken boss-only abilities, but that can easily be fixed. It may be a little hard, but Adrian could classify the boss-only abilities as non-copy-able abilities, it's possible, just look at the mecha's abilities. Not to mention, for a while, the only way to get the MM3 abilities was to use the Copy Shot. Who knows, maybe when the game is complete, there could be some abilities that could only be obtained via Copy Shot. It doesn't need to get completely reworked or destroyed.

I'd like to take Adrian's side on this case (sorry Mike!). I'm sorry, but going up against a rule on a chat room that has been edited slightly is somewhat ridiculous in that matter. You should respect Adrian as he IS the creator of the game, and learning the fact that the chat room was made pretty much illegally makes me want to use the old chat room again. Also, the way that you spoke to Adrian like that was somewhat... rude to say the least. If you disagree with Adrian, then you might want to say it in a more respectful way. It almost seemed like you were yelling at the top of your lungs. And yes, Adrian created the community AND game from scratch, so like he said, there should be at least a
miniscule amount of respect
for him. Just remember that Adrian can delete your account and almost all traces of you with a click of a button. Even with helping MegaBossMan with the information "leak," I've lost a lot of respect for you.

I'm not a Mod, but I've been here long enough to see what ANYONE's going to say:

1. Please don't make entire threads asking a question, instead, for simple questions like this, ask them here.

2. First, beat Final Destination III (I'm not sure if you need to beat the stage on all three players, though). Find the Robot Master on Star Force Fields/Bonus Field II, and then scan them. You can then buy the MM3 fields for 48k Zenny each. After you've bought the MM3 field, place the field under the "Players" tab in the prototype. Finally, beat the stage ONLY using Neutral Type attacks on the Robot Master. Note that putting up shields DO COUNT AS NON-NEUTRAL ATTACKS!!!!!

The Retro ability gives a 1000% (1 thousand) power boost to all attacks.

Enker now has the Ω version adaptor.

All attacks gain a 1,000,000,000% (1 billion) power boost to all attacks. Enker can only retain this form for 10 minutes.

@Mikey76500: First of all, I know that you said no offense about the "stuff that's been done a billion times isn't really an achievement", but either way it's offensive to MANY people. Besides, in Shovel Knight, there's an achievement for digging up a pile in a certain area once. Is it hard? NO! Anyway, "Diversity" doesn't work since at MOST, you could get 8 elements represented. Because of that, I can only put it at 8 elements.

Anyway, I'm glad to say that the Achievement system is back in order, since everyone wants to have it all of a sudden. Go crazy.

By the way, can we create new characters as long as they're balanced?

Retro Pikachu:

Boss:
mega-manproto-manrollcut-manguts-manice-manbomb-manfire-manelec-mantime-manoil-man    proto-man

proto-man How did an inferior like you get here? Oh well, it'll end soon enough.
mega-man Who- Who are you?
proto-man That is none of your business, now be sent to the scrap heap like all your brothers!

proto-man The prototype? A really old robot must've collected TONS of rust over time!
proto-man What the?! Why is there a robot that looks just like me?!
proto-man You're too old to understand how this generation works, so I'll leave you the pleasure of filling the blanks!

proto-man Little Red Riding Hood wants to stop me?! Don't make me laugh!
roll *gasp* How Rude! The wolf ended up in place better than you're going to be after this!!
proto-man Sorry, but this fairy tale has the "bad ending"

proto-man Cut Man?! You're the weakest of the bunch, so taking care of you will be a piece of cake!
cut-man Mr. I dunno, please listen! I just want to stop Dr. Wily!
proto-man ...Seriously! I would say don't make me laugh but it's too late! HAHAHAHAAHA!!!~

proto-man A construction worker who builds stuff? No wonder the Doc didn't hire you. (I know a few of you gets the reference)
guts-man I don't think Dr. Light had you in the blueprints, schedule, or construction plan: what the heck are you?!
proto-man Of course I wasn't in Light's blueprints; he couldn't ever come up with me! You're living proof!

proto-man You're so focused on the mission; chill for a second so that I can beat ya!
ice-man Well, actually, that would be- no, soldier! Remember that the enemy stands before your eyes!
proto-man Eh, either way, I'll cream you into little Eskimo ice cream.

proto-man Boom! You're out already!
bomb-man H-Hey! That's my line! This party's already turning out to be bad one!
proto-man This is party? Then allow me to give out the party favors!

proto-man Justice? Why do that when you can be bad and awesome!
fire-man I've learned that no matter what, the flames of justice always prevail! FIRE!!!!
proto-man Oh how little you know...

proto-man Another electric warrior? How shocking *sarcasm*...
elec-man Ugh... Why are you so ugly! Only I have rights to say shocking!!!
proto-man Was that supposed to scare me? If so, then it didn't work.

proto-man I do admit: alarm clocks are useful, but they can be thorn in my side, and you're no exception!
time-man Whether they're annoying or not is none of your concern: your time has come anyway!
proto-man I'll enjoy destroying this alarm clock; bunch of revenge to be served!

proto-man A robot who shoot oil A.K.A. life. I'm soooo scared...
oil-man Then why don't you keep me alive so that I can continue to defeat you with it!
proto-man ... No

If the player beats Retro Pikachu without taking a hit
Final Boss, Phase 2
dr-wily Curses! Useless piece of junk! ...Wait a second!
robot NOT A CHANCE!
*Wily Machine 01 explodes, sending Wily to the ground*
dr-wily Retro Pikachu?! What are you doing?!
proto-man I don't need your help anymore old man, I just came here to teach that robot a lesson. You've humiliated me the first time we fought, but that'll change right here, right now!

I *clears throat* borrowed MegaBossMan's Entry Form style...
pleasedon'thurtmeIdidn'tseeanythingthatIcoulddobesidesusingMegaBossMan'sentryform

[Entry Form]
Name: Blaze Man
Designation: DRN-001 (Dr. Retro Number)
Type: Flame
Design: Similar to Blaziken from the Pokemon series; except more robot-like and has flashy Erase-Cross hair (that's red).

Good Point: Has endurance
Bad Point: Cocky/Annoying/Pyromaniac
Likes: Fire
Dislikes: Water/Ice

Abilities:
Shoots fireballs from his hands
Has a flame breath
Martial arts + fire
Jumps, then crashes onto the opponents with flames
Can summon walking ovens that shoot flames
Can summon meteors from the sky
Has worse breath than Wario

Bio:
The first of Retro's line of master's, Blaze man can shoot flames hotter than the sun's surface (at 21,000 degrees Fahrenheit). He (like all of Retro's bots) is meant specifically for battle, and loves to burn everything in sight. However, being a fire master, is weak to water and ice attacks, which will weaken his fiery powers by 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit every time he's hit by one. However, if there's nothing between you and Blaze Man, then you may as well jump into the sun to escape punishment.

proto-man Apparently Rejected :( proto-man

Censorship for the win!

Meanwhile, unused sprites for Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters hints that [Mega Man's]{copy_light} special may have been the [Hadouken]{weapons_flame} instead of the [Mega Upper]{weapons_flame}.

Maybe Shield Man could be tank, having huge defenses, but has very unimpressive attack and speed stats, here's what I got:

E: 110
A: 55
D: 170
S: 65

For his abilities...

Shield Shot
Type: Shield
Power: 27
Accuracy: 95%
Speed: 3
Energy: 4
Description: "The user creates a shield around itself, decreasing damage done to the user by 50%, and can be shot for decent damage!"

As for the second tier ability...

Shield Strike
Type: Shield/Laser
Power: 50
Accuracy: 95%
Speed: 3
Energy: 8
3 Random
Description: "The user creates 3 shields, absorbs them to recover 10% of the user's maximum health, and fires lasers from the absorbed energy at three random opponents

An alternate idea for Tier Two:

Shield Extend
Type: Shield/Crystal
Power: 10
Accuracy: 100%
Speed: 3
Energy: 8
Description: "The user creates an enormous barrier, reducing damage done to the user's side by 20% as long as the user is still alive."

Retro Pikachu
"Welp, here goes nothing"

Retro Pikachu was a nothing but a Pikachu from the Viridian Forest. One day, however, somebody dropped their DS inside. When the Pikachu began playing, he became addicted to how fun they were, so much so that he accidentally played too long and began absorbing the data from a dropped Game Boy, and gained powers similar to other games that he played (Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Mega Man, etc.). Since then, he has mastered the power of his Retro Abilities, which has made him the longest Pokemon to not be caught inside the Viridian Forest, Kanto, and maybe even the entire Pokemon Universe as a whole! He does have a bit of a cocky attitude, and can become a serious Pokemon to a couch Pikachu. However, this keeps him as an unpredictable foe, and will not stop until... Who knows what?

Good Point: Uhh.... Unpredictable
Bad Point: Cocky/Random/Lazy
Likes: Video Games
Dislikes: Homework

The ability to set your own field in Player Battles would be nice. What do I mean by that? Here the deal:

People can easily grind forever by clicking on a field, pressing "back," and repeating 'till the field multipliers are in their favor.

If you could set your own field, then people challenging you in Player Battles would have a harder time. Pick stuff like Robosaur Warehouse, Photon Jungle, or Oil Citadel for the multipliers. You could set which of your robots appeared on the field, along with placement. It would give the defender the advantage (since they are in their own home) instead of the challenger having the advantage.

Perhaps there could be Program Advances (exactly like the BN series). If you use the exact moves in the exact order, an option could appear above the menu for the Program Advance to activate. However, the use of it will use up whatever is left of the Robot's Weapon Energy, and the user cannot use another Program Advance with the same robot. Here are some ideas:

Supreme Buster:
Power: 100
Type: Neutral
Side Effect: Increases User's Attack, Defense, and Speed by 10%.
Activation: First charge up Light Buster, than Wily Buster, and finally Cossack Buster.

Supreme Buster V2:
Power 100
Type: Neutral
Side Effect: Heals all Robots on user's side by 100%.
Activation: First charge up Roll Buster, than Disco Buster, and finally Rhythm Buster.

Supreme Buster V3:
Power: 150
Type: Neutral
Side Effect: Increases User's Attack, Defense, and Speed by 20%.
Activation: First charge up Mega Buster, than Bass Buster, and finally Proto Buster.

Supreme Buster Ω:
Power: ???
Type: Neutral
Side Effect: Destroys both user and target, no matter how much health they have left.
Activation:
Charge up all of the following in order:
-Light Buster
-Wily Buster
-Cossack Buster
-Roll Buster
-Disco Buster
-Rhythym Buster
-Mega Buster, Bass Buster, OR Proto Buster

Those are some ideas for Program Advances. Hope this gets in!

@MegaBossMan: Mega Man 7 was a great game, and I loved it more than the X series (fire-man FLAME SHIELD! ). It let you choose to grind on bolts, go without any upgrades, or find them with rush search! It also let special weapons have more use than destroying stuff, such as Freeze Cracker causing snow in Cloud Man's stage or Thunder Bolt turning on magnets in Junk Man's stage. It was the first game in the classic series to have a secret boss, and it was the only game to use the Super Adapter. The graphic style was pretty neat, and it did look better compared to Link to the Past and Super Mario World. Overall, Mega Man 7 was a great game.

Who is Dastuffs? I don't even know how this happened... Anyway, on that thread, I have a theory: when I was trying to counter the spammer, one of the posts I said ended up on that thread, so I'm guessing that the system went overload when the spammer attacked, thus leading to one of my messages being shown there. I still don't know how that happened, but that's at least a theory. Anyway, if I somehow got on a private message between MegaBossMan and Dastuffs, then I can say that I didn't have anything to do with that, but I'm sorry anyway.

EDIT: I probably need to change my password to prevent this from happening again.... Well, looks like I can't change my password... Dang it...

In Final Destination III, you fight the so-called "Powered Up Copies" of the Robot Masters. However, the only thing "Powered Up" about them are their levels. I'm not asking to give them new stats, signature attacks, etc. Maybe in the future (or someday) you can make it so that the Robot Masters are similar to the Copy Core robots in Final Destination II (dark aura).

So basically, if you OHKO a Robot Master, you're going to get an item no matter what? LET THE GRIND FEST BEGIN!

I'm guessing that the elemental cores can be placed in the copy core robots to alter their type.

Also, the fact that you can only use a single item once per turn definitely makes the bigger items more useful.

Some time ago, Adrian said that he wanted the secondary abilities to be dual type (or something along those lines). Here are some suggestions:

Rising Cutter:
Primary Type: Cutter
Secondary Type: Earth/Shadow
Reasoning: The Rising Cutter seems to come strait out of the ground (Earth). The shadow part comes from it coming from the shadows.

Danger Bomb:
Primary Type: Explode
Secondary Type: Flame
Reasoning: The Bomb has recoil which is what Fire Type Pokemon in the TCG are known for (I know it's not that good, but it might work for a dual type ability).

Time Slow:
Primary Type: Time
Secondary Type: Space
Reasoning: Time and Space are sometimes judged as similar matter (heck, the MMKB has Time and Space robots in the same category: Spacetime).

Since I really only played the first game, well, the First Armor is my favorite.

Head Part: Not very useful, but it does give you access to the Buster Parts, which is awesome. It also makes the cave in Sting Chameleon a joke.

Body Part: 1/2 damage? Awesome!

Leg Parts: Dashing became a staple of the X series, and the Leg Parts made it possible. It's also the only one that is given to you directly.

Buster Parts: A fourth charging level, and the ability to charge special weapons. NEED I SAY MORE?!

Arm Parts: HADOUKEN! It kills everything it comes into contact with!

The First Armor

Double clicking the screen does bring up the keyboard controls. And yes, I did try playing DBZ:BF and I was able to start a new game with X. Not sure why it isn't.

Think Wii/3DS/etc. Virtual Console. When you play a game, a key on your keyboard is equal to a controller button.

I believe the default setting is

A button = X
B Button = Y
L Button = A
R Button = S
Start Button = Enter
Select Button = ???

Try pushing X and see what happens

Guess I made a few things unclear:

1. [Insert Type Here] Means Flame, Water, Etc. Might want to make it clear which ones you completed
2. In the Achievement "Blue Blur" "Oh Yes I Did" is just my little note, not part of the name.

I'll be sure to change those, thanks for joining the topic!

As you know, Light Robots (MM1/MMPU/Megaman/Roll) gain 25% Defense bonus ONLY when with Light, Wily Robots (MM2/Bass/Disco) gain 25% Attack bonus ONLY when with Wily, and Cossack Robots (MM4/Protoman/Rhythym) gain 25% Speed Bonus ONLY when with Cossack. When with other players, (ex. Disco with Dr. Light) robots gain 2x E.X.P. but lose stat bonuses. While I see the advantages in these, it sort of limits the robots to either Tanks, Sweepers, or Olympic Racers.

Personally, I think that robots should have stat bonuses depending on who they are with, for instance, let's say that I want my Oil Man to have increased speed. Under normal circumstances, that isn't possible, considering that Oil Man is a Light robot, so he has to be a tank! However, if things go how I suggested, then I can train Oil Man with Cossack so that way, I can increase Oil Man's speed, which in turn, transforms Oil Man into an Olympic Racer. Basically, if I train robots under Dr. Light, than their defense gets boosted, under Dr. Wily, than attack gets boosted, and under Dr. Cossack, than speed get boosted.

Also, the way to get boosted E.X.P. could be using an item that can be purchased in the shop which can boost your e.x.p. gained.

@Mollusk Man

I believe that Fire Man's Quote "I reckon you cool down, or I'll fire you!" was done on purpose because Fire Man has cowboy-like personality, so the way he talks reflects on that. And if you've seen any cartoonish cowboy, than you know how a cowboy talks.

Basically, an extra skin could be applied onto our robot masters, and wouldn't do anything special besides changing the appearance of the Robot Master. For instance, people can decide whether to use the ORIGINAL Metal Man sprites, or we could use the V2/V3 Metal Man sprites.

Of course, the sprites would need to be examined by Adrian and his staff before letting it be an official skin, but it would be nice to see extra skins for those who don't really like how some robot masters look.

*Continuing on from the game post*

What if we could use the extra skins for our avatars. For instance: Do you prefer Metal Man V1, or Metal Man V2/V3?

That would add EVEN MORE customization to the website besides the avatars and color change. What do you think?

P.S. Being able to customize the background of the banner would be nice as well

I think Mega Man should have a revamp by being based off the Battle and Fighters Sprites.

How about an Oil Man Revamp, as it doesn't really seem to match his official artwork

This was done not to long ago, when someone tried to flood the community with spam. The new rule started just yesterday. So that way, only people who have played the game can join the community. This is also done to keep people from constantly spamming. Besides, it makes sense that only the people who have played the game can join the community.

nope (as in you're not the only one who feels like that), it does feel weird that someone doesn't understand, but I might as well clarify for a better understanding:

CLARIFICATION

NOTICE: The Prototype has too much code in it, so no one can play for the time being. Adrian Marceau is doing his best to try and lower the code usage WHILE keeping everything in it. However, Adrian doesn't know what to do. Adrian will update the site when he has more info, but for now, the game is on hiatus.

CLARIFICATION CLARIFICATION:

NOTICE: The Prototype has too much code. Adrian will fix it. The game is on Hiatus.

Does that help?

look here megaprotobassman, Adrian is working on the prototype, but he can't do it in 3 seconds. He has to find a way to reduce memory usage while keeping everything to do. Your demands to fix it are not going to help the situation.

If I made a music category, than Wily Stages 1-2 (MM2) would most likely be banned to keep things fresh and unpredictable (similar to how I banned Metal Man and his weapon).

@Ninjalink
Metal Man's Stage IS valid. You just can't vote for himself or his weapon. (A.K.A. Metal Man's good.)

EDIT:
There is a VERY good chance that I'll do another survey in the future, and if that does happen, then there is a 99.99999999% chance that there will be a music category.

EDIT 2:
Recently, MegaBossMan has made a little "ask me anything," and he was kind enough to advertise my survey. Thanks MegaBossMan! Be sure to check out his "ask me anything" before or after making your responses on my survey (hopefully, you can check his Q & A before doing my survey, but it's up to you).

I guess I should've said this before. If there is a tie for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, then there will be a quick, 2 week survey to decide the winners of the survey. THERE CAN ONLY BE THREE WINNERS IN EACH CATEGORY. Looking at the results so far (unfortunately), there is a good chance that this will happen....

Have you read "Pipi" longstocking?

I know that this has nothing to do with this survey, however, I had to put this topic up (despite the fact that it's a really huge topic currently). Recently, MegaBossMan made a wiki article on this game. But someone wants to remove the article, which I really don't want to happen. Before you put in your entries in this survey, PLEASE head over the MMKB(Mega Man Knowledge Base), find the article, press the "talk" button, and tell everyone why the article shouldn't be removed. FOR THE PROTOTYPE!!!!!!

Edit: WE WON!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Personally, I think the Mega Man sprites need a revamp. In my opinion, it's a case of "this is good, but it could be better." The classic Mega Man sprites are, well, classic, and that's not a bad thing. However, Mega Man, as the main character of the series, could have more detail and just a better look overall.

I was thinking of something like this too, only that the "fighters" would be: (note: [Fighter Name] - [Weapon Name])

Mario - Fireball (F. Ball)
Link - Skyward Strike (S. Strike)
Kirby - Star Rod (S. Rod)
Pikachu - Thunder (T. der)
DK - DK Barrel (DK. Barrel)
Fox - Illusion Fox (I. Fox)OR Fire Fox (F. Fox) OR Blaster (B. ster) OR Reflector (R. flector(Fox has too many good moves).
Samus - Screw Attack (S. Attack)
Yoshi - Yoshi Egg (Y. Egg)
SECRET
Pit - Palutena's Army (P. Army)
UNLOCK BY:
Collecting the Smash ball pieces (the smash ball looks like four pieces glued together, so a smashed smash ball would be in four pieces, thus Mega Man would need to collect the four pieces together in order to unlock Pit)

Subspace Bosses.
Stage 1. Crazy Hand
Stage 2. Galleom
Stage 3. The Ancient Minister
Stage 4. Master Hand
Stage 5. Smash Fighters rematches AND Master Hand + Crazy Hand (at the same time)
Stage 6. Tabuu

Just my thought on what would this be
