what type of computer do you use? i've found MSPaint to be one of the easiest to use as far as making comics. if it's a newer version of windows you can always download an older version.

@Reisrat : well, short answer is "Plant Man Logic" but we can get into depth with that.

The accepted spriting rule for NES has been 3+1 (three colors and one transparency) but it's more realistically 2+1+1 where it's two colors, plus one black, plus one transparency. so with one layer, it's 2 colors +1 black +1 transparency to fill in the layer. Most Robot Masters and NES sprites overall would utilize either one or two layers. Somehow, Capcom in the waning years of the NES figured out a third layer technique that allowed Plant Man to function in high capacity without causing lag or flicker. So going with that, I broke her up into her separate layers that could/would allow her to function on the NES without causing too much lag, if any, if using whatever Capcom figured out in 1993

These can be for anyone:

1. What is your favorite Element that we use here at the Prototype
2. Who is our favorite Robot Master? (official, spinoff, noncanon, fanmade, etc)
3. What gaming series, if any, is your favorite and why?

Another update with another random character. For those that don't read the Archie comics (not sure why you wouldn't, go do it, it's awesome), this is Tempo in her armored form, known as Quake Woman.

I'm very reluctant about sharing this sprite version of her since there are multiple versions of her floating around on the interwebs (and most of them are over-designed 8bit and don't look good) so i'm wary of showing my version of her. Let's just say that sprite theft occurs too often in the spriting circles. In any case, here she is.

@TheDoc : huh, thought i replied to this last night...
what I normally do is sprite it out on the computer first, then once it looks good enough, i just use the image on the screen as a guide to put the beads. that's the best way to do it. with the beads first, if there's any mistake you need to redo almost everything! it's best to get it right on the easier paint program than with the beads.

disco Disco's update was very subtle. While not much seemed to have changed, a majority of the sprite (namely the body) was a completely overall; but at the same time I tried to maintain Adrian's original concept. Very hard to edit someone else's character for them.

roll Mobile Roll I just have multiple issues with. While technically in style with Classic, it just stands out like a sore thumb when compared to the rest of the Classic cast. While she may only appear taller due to her giant hair and outlined bow, the details are worse when you actually compare heights of the faces, specifically the mouths of her compared to Mega Man. She's taller than him which is....just not right. The "new" sprites are her Classic dress but at the same time, with some redone hair.

(I just sent Adrian the same sprites but in her MM8 dress seen in MM10. Gonna try to get them integrated in the system for alternate use on the board and maybe the prototype? But shhh, it's a secret to everybody)

bass Bass is a redesign I've had for a while that I use. It's an edit of the MM10 sprite that isn't on good terms with everybody, but this tends to keep him more in line with his design without being a completely obvious Mega Man edit. He's taller in this form, with more details and actual shoulder pads.

Hope you all like the changes/updates/alterations. Now if Adrian will let me get my hands on his Rhythm...rhythm

I played an English-text version of Rockman & Forte for the SNES which made playing it a lot easier due to no screencrunch that existed on the GBA release. It was an interesting playthrough with the map mechanics and the Superbolts. King was no joke as a boss.
Mega Man 5 was very blah as a game to me. All the previous games introduced some new mechanic that altered gameplay....Mega Man 5 gave us Beat. Even Mega Man 6 gave us the new adapters which lead to the Super Adapter in Mega Man 7. MM5 was just....there.

How's about that Mega Man Soccer though!

Crystal as in Crystal Cave, the Flash Man stage. all of the Fusion stars are made up by taking the first name of the first robot master's stage and combining it with the last name of the second robot master's stage. I didn't mean Crystal as in Crystal Man

with 576 obtainable stars...this is quite a daunting challenge. I keep forgetting to snap some screenshots but I will say that I do love the name combinations:

Space Station Star (Ring/Crash)
Submerged Jungle (Dive/Ice)
Sky Laboratory (Air/Quick)
Preserved Boneyard (Wood/Skull)

@Requiem: indeed about Wily. But just Disco's whole premise intrigues me. That Wily wanted to mimic Roll's...well, role. But also that Adrian seems to be taking into account the storyline of MM10 makes it fit into the canon nicely. Even the naming is perfect "Disco to rise against the oppression of Rock and Roll"...love it.

Hi all, I'm Rhythm_BCA (the BCA stands for my sprite comic, Bass Comic Adventures; and to differentiate myself from other Rhythms). I'm from Boston, MA and feel like I've been playing Mega Man games since the very beginning.

I'm really enjoying this game so far. A familiarity of the RM weapons help make this fun. (I do wonder if I'll be able to "collect" more Robot Masters at some point, I have one per doctor so far) but so far I'm excited to play on. I really like the concept behind Disco. She presents an interesting idea that could be expanded upon in many ways. Overall, great job and keep up the great work!
