So everyone told me to reset because stuff and supposedly I would keep my Starforce. Meta and a few others told me that I would keep my 1024 Starforce when I reset, but apparently I didn't. Is this normal?

I like the new mechanics, and the Dark Spires seem like they'll bring a new challenge. It seems the Winter Update is gonna be real nice and real big. Just 1 little thing, unless I'm missing something in the calculations pastebin I think you did a small calculation error: You say cores add 1% resist each one and there are 99 ones, giving a total of 99% resist, however you say that makes the attack go down to x0.999999, when it's actually meant to be x0.01, as x0.999999 would imply 0.0001% resist for all 99 cores. Doing the calculations with the actual x0.01 resist gave me a total damage of 2.07526529 .

I agree with most of what you say here, however, I'd like to add to point #4 that, while it's OK for some Robot Masters to have higher Base Stats than others, there should be 2 versions of those: One that has high stats (like the Sheep Man you mentioned) and a tweaked, balanced one that fits the 400 base stats limit, which would be the unlockable Sheep Man, that way all of the Robot Masters have an equal chance in the end game.

I like the idea of turning them into Zenny to buy Point Balls more than turning them directly into BP, and I like the concept of the Point Balls, but I would still preffer the overflow to be spread across my other robots. Still, I'm fine either way, as long as it doesn't go to nothing.

I love the new features, and as much as it hurts, I think the Stat capping is for the best. However, I don't know if Zenny is the best option, seeing as I have a lot and if I even need I have lots of items. I would preffer either BP or the leftover points being passed over to any other robot. Still, I love the new alts and I love that now the game will be a lot more diverse.
Also, I was a bit scared at first because I though "Wait, isn't winter in June/August?" but then I remembered hemispheres and stuff

First you need to find and scan the bot you want to unlock (you can do this in the Bonus Stage or in a Fusion Field that has the same type as the bot you want), then you need to buy his field from Kalinka's shop, then you use the field with any of the 3 doctors, and then you need to beat the robot in his field in Chapter 2 using only Neutral-type abilities.

They are usually in Cossack's game, and just like the Mega Man 1 and 2 robot masters, you need to beat them in their own stages in chapter 2 using only neutral-type moves.

It's a very old feature, originally used to unlock the player battles early, some MM3 powers, Roll, and Venus' power (The Bubble Bomb). I don't know if there's any actually useful codes right now or if anyone even still has the codes, but it was a thing.

Honestly the whole "how does the Crash Bomb work" is still a mistery. It's supposed to be percentage based but that never works, and it seems to do more damage the more powerful the target is, so maybe it accidentally works based on Defense percentage instead of Health?

EDIT: Also, regarding multipliers, the total multipliers it might of had would be +10% by starforce, x2 by field and x2 by critial. Seeing how the Crash Bomber has a total attack of 16% that would be 16*1.1*2*2 which gives 70.4%, which still wouldn't be enough to make so much damage

Seeing how you fell asleep at your laptop for 5 consecutive hours and with the Prototype running on it, chances are this is just a variation of the Offline bug where if you try to continue a game after the game logged you off by inactivity, weird stuff happens, similar to this bug.

Nope, there's no way, altho once you get high stats for your robot it gets easier, because you can swap the stat and then get your own. For example, take a robot with 2000 attack, use attack swap and kill the enemy, and you win 20 attack points.

I don't know, but maybe it's because they are bosses, and thus not meant to be seen as simple as checking the database. However, my theory falls flat when I realise the Mega Man Killers, Slur and a few others ARE in the database. I think that should be fixed so they appear at least on the in-game database.

Slash Man was weak to both Freeze Cracker and Scorch Wheel, so you're both right, altho IIRC the Scorch Wheel did more damage than the Freeze Cracker.

I think Slash Claw should be Cutter/Swift (Or Cutter/Nature) if Adrian wants more variety), with Slash Man himself being Cutter or Swift and his stage would be a Nature-core field

Fun Fact: In addition to the Bass, Metal Man, Quick Man and Skull Man legacy sprites, there's also legacy sprites for Disco that you can use by doing {_disco} instead of the usual {disco}

I decided to post this after seeing a few people having issues in the RP thread. It IS possible to use frames for the Super Arm beyond frame 10, you just need to change {super-arm} to {super-arm-(2 or 3 or whatev)}, so for example to use frame 13 instead of doing [ability:right:13] {super-arm} you do [ability:right:03] {super-arm-2} and the result is this super-arm-2. So for frame 23 for example it would be frame 3 and super-arm-3, for frame 79 it would be frame 9 and super-arm-8, for frame 40 it would be frame 10 and super-arm-4, and so on. It's a bit confusing, but it works.

So THAT'S how it works! That answers so many questions, but the thing is still a bug, or at least an oversight, because the weapon's description says it makes damage based in base HP, not defense, so there's still that.

It wasn't a player battle, it was the Chapter 3 battle in Light's game where you fight a Lvl. 10 Bass and Disco. Even if it was percentage based, how can it take away 100% in one hit?

OK, now I'm 100% sure there's something wrong with the Crash Bomb, as I was battling a Lvl. 10 Bass, reduced his attack power to just 1 point, and yet he killed my Quick Man that had 3599 defense and full 595 HP with just one hit. HOW?

I just found a glitch with the Super Arm. If you or an enemy uses the Super Arm, their defense increases as normal, and once they throw it, it goes back to normal, but if the Super Arm misses when you throw it, the defense lower misses too, thus permanently increasing your defense for the rest of the battle. I don't know if this happens with other stuff like the Shields for example.

Also, is there any way to use Ballade's 2nd form sprites? According to the game files, it should be {ballade-2} but that redirects to the 40x40 version of the image, which is blank, unlike the 80x80 and 160x160 versions, which are there.

Normally I don't panic at bugs too much and just report them and look over them until they're fixed but I JUST SOMEHOW LOST A 9999 ROBOT.
I JUST LOGGED IN TODAY TO PLAY, NOTICED BUBBLE MAN WAS FOR SOME REASON IN COSSACK'S TEAM INSTEAD OF LIGHT (Where he was last night) AND SUDDENTLY BUBBLE MAN IS ALL THE WAY BACK TO LVL 1 AND HE LOST ALL HIS 9999 STATS THAT I WORKED SO HARD ON GETTING.

Only the dead can know peace from this bubble

EDIT: I just checked and he's not on the robot selection screen, and if I try to trade it to any other player, it wont let me. It's almost like Bubble Man is no longer there...

EDIT 2: I somehow unlocked Bubble Man again, now I have 2 Bubble Men, both Lvl. 17, both with the same moveset and both with the same player, if I trade Bubble Man, then both of them go to the other doc. WHATISTHISIDONTEVEN?!

1.- Copy them with Copy Shot
2.- Buy them at Reggae's shop, which unlocks when you beat Dr. Wily's game

EDIT: Seems like the Flame Bots can no longer learn them by level-up.

@MegaBossMan Most controllers are plugged by USB, which is in almost any computer. Those ones are mostly plug-and-play and thus require no configuration (aside from JoyToKey if the game doesn't support controller), so it shouldn't be hard. If your controller doesn't have an USB plug, then I have no idea.

@MegaBossMan It's not that, the fields show how many there are of each. The other fields are still the same (124 robots, 20 types and 3 players) but the abilities are now 185 instead of the 187 there are currently.

I don't think the Robot Core needs to match the Field Core. After all, we already have non-matching robots and fields, like Bright Man (Time Core and Electric Field) or Ring Man (Cutter Core with Space Field), so I don't see why can't Magnet Man be a Missile Core and have his stage be an Electric Field

...Unless the non-matching Fields are actually a bug/mistake

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but the recoil damage from the Danger Bomb seems to receive a boost from Starforce. Thus, with enough Staforce, the recoil can easily get to 100%

I think you're forgetting something: Starforce, Field Multipliers, Same type bonus and Weaknesses. Unlike the Boost/Break abilities, which have a fixed 15% recovery, the Blaze/Burn can get a boost if the robot using it is Flame Core, raising it to 15%, and it can also get a bonus from the Field, they can get a boost from the Starforce, and Burn can get a 2x boost if the enemy is weak to Flame attacks. If you get the correct field multiplier, or if you have lots of Flame stars, the Blaze and Burn abilities can easily get to 100%, thus being able to either duplicate your stats, or completely nullify the enemy's. Thus, at least for me, the Blaze/Burn abilities are WAY more useful than the Boost/Break.

@TailsMK4 You can get them by copying them with the Copy Shot ability that Mega, Proto and Bass have. If you are faster than the enemy robot, then just wait for them to do the attack you want, and then use Copy Shot. I hope this helps :D

Thanks for answering and clearing my doubts, but the player field part is not the robot transfer, it's... the actual player fields, in the "Players" menu. And I discovered they lied to me, 2+2 is 6, not 5.

Great update. The stars seem like a cool extra-something and the all the new stuff make the game feel a bit more complete and better, and the Starforce gives me more reasons to leave the copy-type robots. Also, being able to gain points at Lvl.100. ALL MY YES. Just a few questions: Does the starforce work for all doctors or just for the one that got the stars? And is there any way to see what abilities I currently have with each doctor? Also, what are the player fields for? Is 2+2=5? The list goes on but those are the most important and prototype related.

I also have the same problem in Firefox and Chrome, difference being I only need to close the tab or kill Firefox/Chrome from the Task Manager. This can become really annoying with time.

I've always had just one little doubt with the robot stats. What happens with the Knockout Bonus you get while at Level 100? Is it lost forever or is it placed in hold until you reboot?

Go to "Save/edit game" on the upper right corner, then go to "Robot Avatar". You can choose any robot you've already unlocked. As a bonus, you can also go to "Player Colour" to change your color in the forums/leaderboard.

I think what keeps the Skull Barrier as a normal power is the fact that it disappears upon getting damage. All the robots will sooner or later run out of barriers, with the exeption of Skull Man. Thus, I think the ability is only OP when using Skull Man.

Pro Tip: For Time Man just try and defeat Elec Man, then give Mega/Proto Man the Thunder Beam and thunder him away!
For Ice Man do exactly the same, just Thunder Beam him out of your way!
The Crash Bomber is pretty weak in early game, it only gets to shine in big, high level battles. It's very powerful, but you need some bulky tank to survive the 3 turns.
Also, you can't get Mega Man 3 abilities until you finish the game, so no Search Snake yet...

He doesn't. Characters only learn moves from their original movesets (So, for example, Fire Man can learn Fire Storm at start and Fire Chaser at Lvl.10), but they can't learn moves of other robots naturally (So, this Fire Man cannot learn Atomic Fire naturally).
What you need to do in order to learn other abilities, you have to either defeat the robot in his stage or use Copy Shot.
So, just get your Mega/Proto Man, equip him with the Copy Shot and use it when Snake Man uses Search Snake (Being faster than Snake Man helps a LOT)
After that, you can equip the ability normally to Wood Man or any other robot with a Copy or Nature core. Hope this helps you :D

I don't think page = group. In a facebook page, rhe admin upload content and make posts for other people to watch. In a group anyone can post and upload their own content, more like a forum.

Bonus Mode is just a stage to fight optional robots. The only thing you can get there (besides EXP) is Speed Blaze, Speed Burn and I think the MM3 robot master abilities. You dont win robots

I know they remove part of my stats, the problem is that they are working with the old 999 stats cap, thus dealing set amounts to robots with more that 1000 in a stat. IE: Use attack break on a robot with 100 attack: removes 15% correctly (15 attack points). Use it on a robot with 999 attack: removes 15% correctly (150 attack points). Use it on a robot with 9999 attack: doesn't remove 15%, removes 150 attack points instead of 1500 (15% of 9999).

@BladeWolfe1 You have to beat the game (Wily Stage IV) with any character, then i think you need to beat the bonus field (not 100% sure), and then beat the mets in the intro field. You should get the met.

The EDIT button and ability equiping. The first time I played, I didn't know how was I supposed to use the abilities I was winning, nor the boost/breaks. I had no idea it was the edit button, because... at least for me it wasn't really intuitive. So I think that would go here.

Well, Pharaoh Man was quite fast in all of his appearences. He also had a giant eye shield in the arcade game. Also in the arcade, he could summon zombie robots. So he could be any of those 4 types: Swift, Shield, Shadow or just Flame

Just tested with a MegaMan with 9999 defense, and a ProtoMan without all that defense, and both worked fine. MegaMan didn't gain nor lost any defense, and ProtoMan gained and lost the same amount. The testing area had a 2x for nature and 1 Recovery Boost. So yea, the bug is fixed.

Oooooh, so it was THAT. I think a good idea would be to turn the trade system more of a trade system and less of a transfer system, so you don't send robots, but you rather trade Robot A for Robot B. I think that would be the best way, as they all would get 10 robots (Starter, Helper and the 8 RobotMasters) except for the one that gets the Met.

I think an self-intuitive way of doing that would be deselecting robots by clicking them. In fact, when I first played the game, I thougth I could do that. Also, the Field Multipliers are a very cool update, as they change your strategy and also add a bit of actual purpose to train on the Bonus Field, as you get lots of xp.

Loving the new updates and Roll, I feel they add more gameplay deep. I hope you keep like this! The only thing I don't get is why when I use the Proto Buster with MegaMan, it halves the power. That's the only thing I don't understand, everything else is awesome, and also adds more to the game. Keep up the good work!

I've seen it only happens with weapons that have targeting abilities. If you use the Hyper Bomb for example, it will attack normally. The glitch only happens when you SPECIFICALLY target a benched robot.

Adrian, I think i understanded how does the bug actually works. Basically, when you kill an enemy with the Super Throw the game sends the 1st robot from the enemy team. So, if the first robot was a met, when doing the bug a met will appear. If the met was alive, the game will continue normally, just without a sprite for one turn. If however the met was dead, the game will send the invisible undead met that dies multiple times.

I found it the same way you said, But it seems a bit random, as sometimes the invisible clone appears, and other times the game keeps normal, but with the enemy robot invisible. Also, if you keep using the Super Arm, you can gain experience again and again. (BTW, cool community update)
