"A fangame about... a fangame...?!" you may be asking.
Yes! This is Mega Man RPG Battlefield, a fangame about Mega Man RPG Prototype... -Well, the community of this game, to be more accurate, as it will feature some of our most prominent personalities here, rather it be as a helper or a hindrance. As for the story, well... That's for you to figure out.
Siiiigh....I need to stop breaking the game so much....So apparently, things do in fact change when you beat one story and go to the next (Proto's and then do Mega's). When I beat Meta, he was level 20, and Zero didn't appear. When I got to the bottom of the Underground Lab, Boss appears, instead of Megaboy, and you get him, even without a battle. The only problem is that both the ladder back up doesn't work, and the teleporter that takes you out of the Lab doesn't work, so I'm pretty much stuck.

Ugh... I am disgusted by the amount of bugs that I've had to fix. Once again, my sincerest apologies to those of you playing the demo. I appreciate all the help you guys have been providing.
Version 0.689
(Fix) - Sequence breaking the ZeroDXZ/TailsMK4 boss fight has been made impossible
(Fix) - Bug involving MegaBossMan cutscene in the second story selected
(Fix) - Bug where player would be warped to Mega Man's story in Proto Man's story during the final room of the game
Again, if you feel like you're game is screwed up in any which way, please private message me, detailing where you were, what happened, and a download link to your save-file (preferably on Dropbox). I will see to getting you back on the right track.

Recently, my computer's hard drive crashed, and since such an event wasn't anticipated, a backup wasn't made. Sorry to say, but the game's been cancelled.
@RotomSlashBlast : All RPG Maker VX Ace games use the same kind of encryption, which I myself am unsure of how to decrypt. That being said, I've fixed the download link for the last demo, so if you or anyone else wants to decrypt it and post the file here in the forum, I'll edit the main post to add the decrypted version, thus making the project open source.

@RotomSlashBlast : Ah, good question. Regarding the characters that were not made playable as of the last demo, here's a list of all the titles:
BetaMan: The Shadowy Hero MegaBoy: The Young Warrior (To The Best of my memory) Adrian Marceau: The Man of Ages MusicalKitty: The Fatal Feline StupidStudiosN: The Shooting Star (Final Story/Neon Blue Armor SSN) StupidStudiosJ: The Gentle Giant StupidStudiosC3: The Arcane Master REDACTED/StupidStudiosW: The Prototype's Anomaly
As for movesets, all I can recall is that SSJ and C3 would have moves similar to what they had in their fight in Timeline 1 (Super Arm being SSJ's signature move, Sacred Flare being SSC3's, and both having access to Tome of Vyrna (a reoccurring move between SS characters) as well as Taunt). [REDACTED]'s moveset would contain both the ???'s Buster and ???'s Saber (Or the SSW's Buster and SSW's Saber). Beta Man would have played the same as Mega Man, though he would have been given the Power Adapter as his final ability gained, and his cohort MegaBoy would have his moveset from the rival battles, including an EEKADO power I never finished. Unfortunately for Adrian and Musical, I couldn't develop them beyond spritework before my computer crash, so Im uncertain what moves they would have used, though Musical would have likely had access to weapon-changing abilities, given her role as a shop-keeper through most of the game.
Okay. I'm going to take a few creative liberties though. For example:
-In Proto Man's story, Instead of sky ridge, you'll go through Reflection Chamber. -There's gonna be an "abridged mode", made to make the game's dialogue lighthearted and funny, like a comedy. This is gonna be hidden, however. in SSN'S story, the other SS characters will be playable (N2, C2, A, C4) as well, for completions sake and for extra re-playability. -Superbosses will be a thing, but you need a password to get to them. -The final dungeon will have up to 3 of all characters usable alongside SSW, SSN, and MBM. Replayability, once again. -There will be a way to re-unlock the original player characters (Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass). You kinda tend to project on them when you play, and besides, it kinda sucks to have playable characters that are lost forever. -There's going to be more types of starforce. -Bass' intro stage, instead of the Lighting Control, will be something from MM5. Don't worry, the textures will still be a thing in one of the stories.
That's not all of them, but I thought I'd share some before I forget.
