BATTLE POINT MECHANICS (2015/01/03) The Battle Points reward for each mission is based on a relatively simple calculation. The number, class, and level of all targets are considered to give us our base reward value. Each of the three robot classes have different base rewards: Support Mecha : 500 Points Robot Master : 1000 Points Fortress Boss : 2000 Points These values are then multiplied with each target's individual level and added together to decide the points for that mission. Given the following assortment of robots in a mission, let's calculate what the battle point reward would be; Met (Lv 1), Peng (Lv 2), Bomb Man (Lv 5), Time Man (Lv 5), Trill (Lv 10) Met 500 * 1 = 500 Peng 500 * 2 = 1000 Bomb Man 1000 * 5 = 5000 Time Man 1000 * 5 = 5000 Trill 2000 * 10 = 20,000 ------------------------------------- Total = 31,500 Battle Points By calculating each target's reward value and adding them together, we find that the mission would yield a base reward of 31,500 Battle Points to the player. This value is not static, however, and there are a few ways in which the player can distort this value further. Each mission is assigned a target amount of turns that it must be completed in to qualify for the full battle point reward. Battle Points awarded at the end of a mission are multiplied or divided by your turns versus the target amount, with fewer yielding more points and vice versa. Each of the three robot classes also have different base turns: Support Mecha : 1 Turn Robot Master : 3 Turns Fortress Boss : 6 Turns Given the same assortment of robots in a mission, let's calculate what the target turn amount would be: Met 1 Peng 1 Bomb Man 3 Time Man 3 Trill 6 --------------- Total 14 Target Turns By calculating each target's turn value and adding them together, we find that this mission would have a target of 14 Turns. If the player completed this mission in exactly 14 turns they would get 100% of the reward. Using 7 turns would yield 200%, and using 28 would yield only 50%. The final piece of the battle point puzzle looks at how many robots you're allowed to use in a given mission and how its calculated. While the game allows you to bring as many robots as you want into battle (up to 8 max), each mission has a target amount based on your opponents. Just like points and turns, each of the three robot classes have different limits: Support Mecha : 0 Robots Robot Master : 1 Robots Fortress Boss : 2 Robots The robot limit is unique in that it will always be rounded up to value of at least 1, even if the mission contains only support mechas. Using the example mission one more time, let's calculate what the robot limit would be: Met 0 Peng 0 Bomb Man 1 Time Man 1 Trill 2 --------------- Total 4 Robot Limit By calculating each robot's limit value and adding them together, we find that this mission would recommend no more than 4 robots. If the player completed the mission using exactly 4 robots they would get 100% of the reward. Using 2 robots would yield 200%, and using 8 would yield only 50%. Using all the information above, we compile the following details about our mission: <> Defeat the example mechas, robots, and boss character! Level 10 | 31,500 Points | 14 Turns | 4 Robots The absolute best hypothetical scenario for this mission would be completing it in only 1 turn and with only 1 robot (somehow). If you were to accomplish this astounding feat, you would earn a whopping 1,764,000 Battle Points.
