Hey look, a Mega Man fact thread?! That's right, this thread is entirely based on the facts we know of Mega Man that might sound a little kooky or a bit out-there, but they tend to make it so that the Mega Man Series has it's fair share of interesting facts! So, let's try to get out there and spread… Read More

Many fans theorize that RT-55J from Mega Man X is actually Auto, modified by Dr. Light to guard the Light Capsules. However, Auto actually makes a cameo appearance in Volt Catfish's boss intro in the Playstaton, Sega Saturn, PC, and Anniversary Collection editions of [Mega Man X3](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZoqPanZ1K8).
I've never that theory! Actually sounds quite possible. In the cameo, though...Why is Auto living near a dangerous infected criminal? And how is he watching something that happened mere seconds ago?!
Also another fan theory... Maybe Serges is Wily. In the Japanese version of X2, Serges's death statement says something like "To be killed by one of Light's...". Why would he care so much by being killed by Light's creation? How does he even know?! Another theory is that he's Issac, due to his intrest in Zero. Sigma also states he has a partner who hates X even more than him. What's most accepted is that Wily put his mind in the virus!
@Spinstrike : How have I never realized this?!? To add some more interesting facts, in Mega Man 5, Gyro Man, a flying robot, is weak to a flash weapon. In Mega Man 6, Wind Man, a flying robot, is weak to a flash weapon.

Heat Man had [smoking]{wily_flame} sprites in Mega Man: The Power Battle. These were removed for obvious reasons.
Meanwhile, unused sprites for Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters hints that [Mega Man's]{copy_light} special may have been the [Hadouken]{weapons_flame} instead of the [Mega Upper]{weapons_flame}.

It. Is. REVIVED!!!!!!
In Megaman Battle Network 2, the Spooky virus has an unused "laugh" sprite.
Moving on, all the characters from Megaman: The Power Battle have unused ladder sprites. Bass also has unused sprites for his trademark ability to fire in multiple directions.
People who have played Megaman ZX Advent are aware of all the attacks of Model H (or Aeolus). However, his Sonic Boom (Slice, Slash, Slice) attack is doable in Megaman ZX, despite the fact that they never teach you. Try it!

Unless you count [Copy X]{copy_weapons}, Mega Man Volnutt is the only incarnation of Megaman to not appear in every game of his series (there was a spin-off title called "The Misadventures of Tron Borne(?)"). Also, Mega Man (Star Force series) is the only incarnation of Mega Man (again, unless you count [Copy X]{copy_weapons}) to not appear in a fighting game as a playable character.

In Mega Man 6, the enemy Colton that appears in Tomahawk Man's stage and Mr. X is named after a Colt revolver, which is typically associated with cowboys and most hold 6 bullets. How many mega buster shots are needed to destroy a Colton? 6.

Ok, why does everyone love MM2? i like it, but not "i HEART MM2 WITH MY SOUL!" but just wondering, and yes, bond man is a legend, though he was gonna be in MMPU. also, there is in fact a bird-chicken -ish robot, which you see in the shop *in this game*, Dont quote me on this, "reagge? regaee? idk." so yea, i knew about that guy before the shop was put in this ame, cuz i was 7, and played MM7. (and saw that. ;P wrong passwords can be helpful, and the color background for him was pink-ish purple.)
In Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U, Mega Man's alt colors are, obviously, colors of weapons he uses. However, all the alts are based on weapons that Mega Man has brought to Smash EXCEPT the Grey/Yellow alt. It is based on Thunder Beam OR Thunder Wool, non of which appear in Mega Man's arsenal. HOWEVER, Elec Man is the owner of the Thunder Beam, who appears as an Assist Trophy.
EDIT: Actually, the alt is based on Top Spin. Thanks to RhythymBCA for pointing out this DERP.
