The current version of the prototype has many bugs, as will many version in the future. This is inevitable, all we can do is fix them as they come up and then move on.

Some bugs and issues, however, do not want us to move on. Unfortunately there are some quirks with the prototype that I have not been able to fix yet and unfortunately get reported a lot. I would like to list the most common ones here so that you know you are not alone in your struggles and we are aware of the issue.

Items will be taken off this list when/if they ever get fixed, but until then you just have to deal with 'em. Let's get started!



* This game only works in modern, updated browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Opera is iffy and Internet Explorer is just a "no". If you use one of the less-than-desirable browsers and it doesn't work properly you're on your own. Browsers are free, downloads are small, and dealing with Microsoft's backward system is not on my list of priorities. Sorry. :|

* Even though the games works fairly well in modern browsers, it can still lag sometimes and has a really nasty crashing bug its tab goes inactive during a battle. If the transitions are too choppy you should lower your message speed in the "Options" menu, and if you need to switch tabs click the little pause button at the top of the battle window before you do (or wait until you're back at the main menu again). You've been warned.

* Every single turn your actions are sent back to the server and the results sent back to you after being calculated. If your browser session somehow expires while you're in the middle of a battle (maybe you have aggressive cookie settings, maybe you left the battle idle for way too long, etc.) the entire battle will be ruined and you'll have to start over. Hundreds of robots will appear on-screen in a glitched out manner and you will not be able to do anything constructive so don't try. Reload the prototype and see if you need to log in again.

* Slightly related to above issue, sometimes there will be a fatal error on the server and the battle will be unable to continue causing an endless "Loading..." screen. After a set amount of time, an alert will appear asking you if you want to resend your last action, but most of the time it will not work and the battle may need to be restarted entirely. This is obviously a game-breaking bug that should be fixed, but at the moment it's incredibly hard to diagnose. At the very least, any experience points earned in battle before the bug occurs will NOT be lost.


I know this issues are really annoying and can make your throw the mouse across the room, but please understand that I will fix them as soon as I am capable and I feeeeeeeel your pain. Thank you for baring with me and these bugs and thank you soooo much for playing the prototype! :D

Lose to one more additional mission and you'll have her. You need to be defeated in three different missions to get her.

EDIT: Let me rephrase that, lose in three different Cossack missions. That part may have been left out...

Yea, I left out the, "in a Dr. Cossack mission" because I thought he already knew, I should consider not assuming omniscience from everyone.

There seems to be an issue with the system of Level 100 robots downloading data from defeated enemies. If the robot uses an ability with delayed effect (i.e. Crash Bomber) and is then switched out before the ability takes effect, the robot in the active position downloads the data instead of the robot that cast the ability.

i got rhythm now. now to get mecha support... and beat final destination with cossack, till the next update. (EDIT),finished final destination with everyone.

the loading screens constantly never stop! the first time i get past the starting up loading screen, dr. light wont load, robots screen wont load, and that means I CANNOT TRAIN FOR FINAL DESTINATION STAGE 3!!!

Some of the RMs have their main weapon only use 1 WP (for example, Crashman using Crash Bomber). However, some RMs have to use up 2 WP under the same circumstances, such as Metalman using Metal Blade. I would understand if it was another RMs Cutter-type weapon being used, but this happens if the RM uses THEIR OWN weapon. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

Also, Dust Crusher only uses up 1 WP regardless of the user (I had a fight between my Protoman and another using only Dust Crusher because he had 1 WP left)...soooo.

@TheDoc : Well, you see, it works like this...

Let's say Rolling Cutter is 8 WE, shall we? Mega Man will have to use it for 8, while Metal Man can do it for 4. It's because he's the same type of the weapon.

Now, Cut Man can do it for 2 WE. Why? Because he learns it through leveling up, instead of equipping it.

And Dust Crusher....That's a bug.

@MegaBossMan: That idea makes sense, but it's inconsistent. Like I said, Heatman can use his level-up weapon for 1 WP (Atomic Fire), I THINK that Airman can use his Air Shooter for 1 WP, but Metalman requires 2 WP for HIS OWN weapon.

Double posting because this is a brand-new bug. If you play a field with Topman on it, fusion or individual (idk about Bonus), you'll see a field multiplier for Swfit X 2.0 instead of Swift X 2.0. Consequently, this multiplier fails to affect the Swift element in the battle following. My guess is it's simply a misspelling.

gemini-man ... @TheDoc : Yeah, that's a misspell. Annoying when those things happen, but the way Adrian is able to update the game, that should be a very quick and easy fix once he's aware of it. ring-ring

It's not a bug in-game, more of a fault with the weaknesses.

Gemini Man is weak to Needle Man
Needle Man is weak to Gemini Man

See a problem? Gemini Man should have the advantage here, but it seems not to be the case here.

I would make it Earth. Crystals themselves form from the Earth's minerals. Plus, it could be a nice nod to Magnet Man's type-shenagins we had, considering Magnet Man is Gemini Man's weakness in the Power Battle games.

Course, heat would work just as well, and we see Pharaoh Man's Pharaoh Wave be his weakness in Power Fighters: Electric Boopalop. Not only that, but in real life, if magma cools down quick enough, it forms an igneous rock with tiny crystals within. If I recall correctly, it breaks shortly after due to the heat. Plus, the weakness cycle isn't affected either, due to lack of fiery bots la Mega Man 3.

Brorman is the best at what he does, but I can't see the reasoning here.

It's sad when Gemini Man is KOed first by Needle Man.

@MegaBossMan : That does seem counter-intuitive, but Brorman put a lot of effort into balancing these so I think we should run it by him first. Mostly just to see what his thought process was and if we can change it without breaking anything. Maybe send him a personal message? When he updates it in the spreadsheet, I'll run my admin script and we'll be good to go.

@TailsMK4 : Surprised I didn't notice that typo when I was running the import script. :S Thanks for catching it though, and it's been fixed now.

@Spinstrike : Fixed the view more link for mechas. Thanks.

@TheDoc : I fixed the Dust Crusher bug, but I've thus far been unable to replicate the Metal Blade one. I tried in my file and in a few other files and it's always 1 WE for me. I'll keep trying different things until I figure it out. Sorry. :/

Metal Blade looks normal to me...

gemini-man ...I always thought that Gemini Man was weak to the Cutter ability since I thought Shadow Blade did a good amount of damage to him, though at the same time I remember in the GB version of III that Shadow Man was weak against the Gemini Laser. We may need to just give Gemini Man another weakness instead of Cutter. At first I thought about maybe changing it to Impact, but MegaBossMan made a good point regarding Power Fighters. Why did Gemini Man end up with resistance to Flame anyway?ring-ring
