The current version of the prototype has many bugs, as will many version in the future. This is inevitable, all we can do is fix them as they come up and then move on.

Some bugs and issues, however, do not want us to move on. Unfortunately there are some quirks with the prototype that I have not been able to fix yet and unfortunately get reported a lot. I would like to list the most common ones here so that you know you are not alone in your struggles and we are aware of the issue.

Items will be taken off this list when/if they ever get fixed, but until then you just have to deal with 'em. Let's get started!

* This game only works in modern, updated browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Opera is iffy and Internet Explorer is just a "no". If you use one of the less-than-desirable browsers and it doesn't work properly you're on your own. Browsers are free, downloads are small, and dealing with Microsoft's backward system is not on my list of priorities. Sorry. :|

* Even though the games works fairly well in modern browsers, it can still lag sometimes and has a really nasty crashing bug its tab goes inactive during a battle. If the transitions are too choppy you should lower your message speed in the "Options" menu, and if you need to switch tabs click the little pause button at the top of the battle window before you do (or wait until you're back at the main menu again). You've been warned.

* Every single turn your actions are sent back to the server and the results sent back to you after being calculated. If your browser session somehow expires while you're in the middle of a battle (maybe you have aggressive cookie settings, maybe you left the battle idle for way too long, etc.) the entire battle will be ruined and you'll have to start over. Hundreds of robots will appear on-screen in a glitched out manner and you will not be able to do anything constructive so don't try. Reload the prototype and see if you need to log in again.

* Slightly related to above issue, sometimes there will be a fatal error on the server and the battle will be unable to continue causing an endless "Loading..." screen. After a set amount of time, an alert will appear asking you if you want to resend your last action, but most of the time it will not work and the battle may need to be restarted entirely. This is obviously a game-breaking bug that should be fixed, but at the moment it's incredibly hard to diagnose. At the very least, any experience points earned in battle before the bug occurs will NOT be lost.

I know this issues are really annoying and can make your throw the mouse across the room, but please understand that I will fix them as soon as I am capable and I feeeeeeeel your pain. Thank you for baring with me and these bugs and thank you soooo much for playing the prototype! :D

The Metal Blade WE is resolved; I had assumed that you fixed it, but perhaps I mistook Metal Blade for another weapon. In any case, I'm glad that it's taken care of. Sorry for all the hassle I put you through.

@MegaBossMan : Of course, I knew I'd mess up at some point, well... Cutter was supposed to be Gemini Man's weakness just because of balance reasons, and because he gets some extra damage from Shadow Man's weapon, so kind of a nod to that direction too.

I'd say change the weakness to Flame, no messing with weakness cycles yet the type is really common. This does remove his Flame resistance, and goes a bit against Adrian's original idea, but I'd really prefer it this way.

And really, no, I am not the best at what I do lol, also sorry for late responses, been away for a few days.

Can't blame you, Mega Man 3's weakness chart is really...messed up, to say the least.

(Oops, pointless comment.)

I used Attack Shuffle, and while my robots' stats were changed, the enemies' stats were unaffected. Am I missing something?

P.S: Sorry about the quality, but you can just make out the difference in the stats it SHOULD'VE been compared to the actual stats they ended up having. If you can't, then I'll just tell you: Protoman's attack stat should've been 485, but instead they're 195 or something.

OK, now I'm 100% sure there's something wrong with the Crash Bomb, as I was battling a Lvl. 10 Bass, reduced his attack power to just 1 point, and yet he killed my Quick Man that had 3599 defense and full 595 HP with just one hit. HOW?

Starforce? It sounds like a Player Battle.

Also Crash Bomber is not reliant on Attack, which is why it's not especially good for Crash Man.

It wasn't a player battle, it was the Chapter 3 battle in Light's game where you fight a Lvl. 10 Bass and Disco. Even if it was percentage based, how can it take away 100% in one hit?

gemini-man ...Crash Bomb does more damage to a robot depending on its Defense stat. For me Crash Bomb is a nightmare weapon to deal with since 9999 defense in my case is pretty much a guaranteed OHKO. Robots with lower defense will take less damage from Crash Bomb. So we're talking about an ability's design rather than a bug, actually. ring-ring

So THAT'S how it works! That answers so many questions, but the thing is still a bug, or at least an oversight, because the weapon's description says it makes damage based in base HP, not defense, so there's still that.

My newest issue is forum-related...we actually don't have 5,000 characters to use in our posts. I've found it very annoying sometimes even when I've removed some of the formatting in my posts to get all of the way down to 4,800 characters in my post, and it's still rejected because the post is too long. :/

Is the limit really 5,000, or 5,000 was just a number that is close to the actual character limit?

I can vouch for Tails's claim; I've had this problem numerous times in the RP thread. I'll get to about 4,700 or 4,800 characters and it'll say my post is too long.

So....this was strange.

I had a Bubbleman and Ringman during a Player Battle, and the enemy had just summoned a Peng. I used Rain Flush as Bubbleman and all heck broke loose. I'll list them in the order they occured:
1.) The Rain Flush had no effect on Peng. That's fine.
2.) The Rain Flush did NOT hit any other enemy.
3.) The Rain Flush hit my Bubbleman and said that it "did 595 damage" without actually hurting him.
4.) The Rain Flush hit my Ringman and killed him...
5.) The Peng did a Peng Tackle and killed itself.
Here is an image of the aftermath along with a small amount of the log (I tried to get as much as I could but Chrome has this bad tendency of scrolling too much for me).
Ummmm......did I win?
Also, If I tried to attack with Rain Flush, an invisible Peng would revive, 2 & 3 would repeat, and Peng would die again.

I'm gonna make sure I don't use Rain Flush on a Peng ever again in my life.

@TheDoc : That'd be a good idea, as Pengs have an affinity to Water attacks, anywho. x)

I don't know WHAT happened, there, but, I'm gonna assume that this affinity had SOMETHING to do with it.

@ThatGuyNamedMikey : That's what I was thinking. This hasn't happened when I Rain Flush Bubbleman iirc, though. I'll keep Rain Flushing different robots with Water affinities and see what comes up.
