Eh, nothing I was really interested in.
Well, maybe Doom 4, but odds are it's going to be as meh as Doom 3 felt.

Yes, yes, Smash4 hype, etc etc. Actually, I'm not too thrilled about the announcement of Palutena. I had no desire to play as her, I never even knew all that much about her, and there are many more characters I'd want to see first (Like Ghirahim and Magolor). Ah, well, there's always one Smash character I'm not excited about at all. We can play as Miis, though, and they don't look like garbage! I can scarcely wait to use that Reggie Mii I got from SpotPass.

I...think Nintendo can properly benefit from the use of Amiibo's technology, actually. Unlike Disney Infinity or Skylanders or (Going back even further) UB Funkeys, you're not missing a big part of the game if you don't buy one, and you don't have much obligation to collect them all unless you really want to. I think it would be both awesome and hilarious if Amiibo became a new sideshow at Smash tournaments: people bring their specially trained and conditioned Amiibo figures to fight one another in glorious combat, like some glorified Pokemon match.

Wooly World definitely has potential. It might be the first good Yoshi game since the original Yoshi's Island. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

I knew the Captain Toad mini-stages were popular, but I didn't know they were popular enough to warrant their own spinoff game! It could be charming and fun, though, quite like hte original. It'll depend mostly on the price tag they attach to such a game.

Before I was wary about Hyrule Warriors, but it's slowly gaining appeal. How can I say no to an all-star cast with all my favorite Zelda characters? I'm sure I can adapt to the new controls...right?

Splatoon looks...surprisingly interesting. I guess after Battle Quest, Nintendo realized their big, goofy gamepad isn't so bad for fast-paced shooting action. I admire them for trying something new. I might pick it up.

Zelda U is performing with bold experimentation, per the usual. I'm not sure how to feel about an open-world Zelda (R.I.P. Linear Dungeons), but I'm more than willing to give it a shot.

I'm honestly a little surprised they didn't spring a surprise F-Zero title on us and announce C. Falcon for Smash4 at the same time. We all know he's coming, after all; it's only a matter of when. I guess the dust needs to settle some more after Mario Kart 8's release before they start talking about another racer (If, indeed, that new game is coming at all).

Eh, Star Fox isn't really enough to convince me to get a Wii U.
Battride War 1 or 2 getting a port to it would though, but that's mostly because I want to kick things with Japanese bugmen.

@CHAOS_FANTAZY
I seriously recommend getting Kid Icarus Uprising. The dialouge in that game is oh so sweet and no character feels generic or uninspired. Honestly, the best part of the game is the interactions between the characters. The gameplay is fine, feeling like a cross between Zelda and Star Fox. I feel that if Ghirahim and Magolor don't have much moveset potential. Which Magolor would we use though, Good or bad? Not much going on either way. Still waiting for Meta Knight....

@Reisrat
I have no idea what can please you then. I feel pretty excited for the game info that was released. Mario Party 10 will be the game that ruins friendships for sure. Anyway, Doom 4 probably will be another letdown so don't get your hopes up. The first two are really the only ones worth playing, as they're the ones that revolutionized the shooter franchise.

I've had many recommendations to buy Kid Icarus: Uprising, but for some reason I never do. I think that after the various disappointments I've had on my 3DS, I'm averse to buying new titles for it.

You really think so? I think Ghirahim has so much moveset potential, it's hard to shove it all into one moveset. He has his blades, namely his cutlass; he has his demonic red razor things that he can summon on demand; he has the ability to block attacks and steal weapons with his bare hand...and his metal-skinned form in the third fight gives him a shoe-in ability for his Final Smash.

Magolor would be a bit tougher, I admit, but he has a fair number of abilities under his belt as well. In Return to Dreamland, he's got magic out the wazoo, and in Dream Collection, it's more of the same, only he also possesses the ability to summon other things (Mostly other Kirby enemies). They could probably theme a character off of that (Using his good form, of course, since that's the one he currently is), summoning other stuff to do battle with with traces of magic blasts and such, and then maybe make a Final Smash based upon Ultra Abilities/the Master Crown?

Project: Spark is them trying to make a counter to Sony All-Stars and Smash Bros. right? It seems like it would be, now would be the best time to announce one.

No. It's actually one of those sandbox games where you create everything.

If there was a Microsoft Smash, I think the roster would be lacking, due to almost no innovation in Microsoft's part.

Halo soldier
Banjo-Kazooie
Conker

For anyone who watched the Invitational Tournament,(Not going to spoil the winner, despite on how mad I am about that win)

Warning: Rant Alert

Was anyone else disappointed in the Mega Man player?(Yes, he did not win)
In my opinion, he was the worst player there. Relying too heavily on Flame Sword and Slash Claw. Ignoring an Assist Trophy right next to him that later gained multiple KOs, and not taking his chances by leading the players outside by damage or following then doing a Hard Knuckle, designed to be his Meteor Smash technique. The only way he got so far is because he was constantly fan-favorite due to being Mega Man. Hell, his only good moment was when he got the Smash Ball and we got to see his Final Smash(Hint, it includes Black Hole Bomb). Now he did not get much practice with the character true, but as you know about the whole Best Buy thing, I got my hands on Mega Man and he is easily accessible and would easily go into S-Tier! Seriously, he really is a "SUPA FIGHTING ROBOT"! Of course, had Hugs(the player) had more time to practice with Mega Man, I'm sure he would have done better, but the other players who used newcomers actually got pretty far by skill, not by favorites. He seemed to be a good player, but relied on moves that weren't "Smashing" techniques. He was even in stages that were great for his other, better moves!(Except the Punch-Out Stage) Anyway, I did like the tournament and enjoyed rooting for the Mega Man player, despite his shortcomings. Good luck to Hugs in future tournaments.

I however did not enjoy on who won due to how they won.

I wish the Kirby played had used more Final Cutters. But then, I really like Cutter in Super Star.

I wanted the Kirby player to use more Stone considering on how OP it is. Then again, he handled Sky Suplex expertly, which was probably why he got so far. Although, he definitely had the best skills of all the fighters.

As sad as it is, Mega Man didn't really look like a top tier character. On the other hand, FFA tournaments with items are just for fun anyway. I was disappointed in how Mega Man seemed to play, quite clunky and slow, which I suppose is staying true to the classic series.

I have 'some' experience of professional smash as a viewer (watched some Melee tournaments and so), and Final Cutters and Stone are just bad. Both attacks are slow, and if they miss, you will be left open for a good while. But I suppose it could have worked a bit differently in FFA, can't say much. Hungrybox (Kirby) only got so far because he stayed away from the battle as much as he could. Also, some items in the game seem very awful, like that OHKO item.

Overall, I'm pretty hyped after E3: Xenoblade, Pokemon and Smash are all definite buys. STEAM and Splatoon seem nice as well, but I need more information on them. As for Sony and Microsoft, didn't really care cause I don't own - or plan to own - their consoles. The only game that looked even a bit fun was Sunset Overdrive(?).

I've had some first-hand experience with Mega Man, and I found he was a great character. Of course, he was no Meta-Knight but moved perfectly fine. Course, perhaps it's cause I analyze his moves and play out how he plays in my mind, and it just happened to pay off at the Demo at Best Buy.

To be honest, I think only Final Cutter is bad. As a professional Smasher, Stone works great defensibly and can take most attacks, and when your time is up, simply perform Final Cutter as fast as you can to stun your opponent. Works great. Although, Final Cutter has terrible damage output and knockback and as a recovery move, it's the worst, only next to Ike's.

Also, I feel Hungrybox was more chasing his opponent if anything. He made great use of Sky Suplex, especially in Punch-Out!!. I feel he only lost due to the cheap Sudden Death and because Zero Suit's range was much better. If anything, his opponent was really just using Smash Balls and the Laser beam to get by. In the Grand Finals, Hungrybox was definitely relying on skill, while Zero Suit just spammed a technique and bounced around the field. Effective, but there's a reason why people booed.

Anyway, I completely respect your opinion and I wanted to show my response. Not every character and strategy works for everyone, and everyone has a different voice on a subject. *Cue final chapter from Gigamix*

Continuing on Smash.....

Because of all the hype Nintendo has been getting, they sent a few demo copies to notable people. Did you ever think you were a casual gamer? Well, I don't think you're clueless.
