Or he could have force-added Ballade to the account he was testing on as a hurried April Fools joke.

It's most likely a fake, considering if you add the Killers as playable characters, you have to make Quint one, as well.
I think MBM made an April Fools Day prank that did not start with the picture, but yet on a post saying this quote:
"Hahahaha I get it cause it's April Fools! And this is not actually a thread talking about the Upda-I'll stop talking now.

But it says the Update's gonna have 5 Difficulties, A Whole new Chapter, New PB Features, and a special offer that if you get an achievement for the new System, You will get DOUBLE BP Forever! (Totes not an APF joke)
