Official Player Introductions Thread Posted by Adrian Marceau on March 16th, 2013 at 11:51pm Viewed 25982 Times
Hello, I'm accpikachu2, otherwise known as Retro Pikachu. Much like Trouble Bruin, I like Pokemon and Mega Man as well. While I love the official games, I feel like the fan games do just as well as an official game. I love this game's mechanics, leaderboards, and playable characters.
Hi, I'm Elecspark and I live in New York. I am 18 years old and I've been playing Mega Man since my cousin introduced me to it. My first mega man game was Mega Man 7 and I loved Mega Man ever since.
Whoops. Somehow I skimmed over this topic and made a fool of myself by starting another for my own introduction. Sorry about that. Hopefully, this forum has the functionality to delete topics.
Anyway, hello! My name is CHAOS_FANTAZY, and I've been a fan of Mega Man for a few years now. I heard about this game over at CutStuff, and, after many months of telling myself "I'll just wait 'til its full release," I finally caved and decided to come over here. Unfortunately, I did that when the servers were crashed. D: Nonetheless, I'd be happy to lurk about in here; I always love helping development!
About me: I have a variety of interests, Mega Man obviously being one of them. I enjoy games in general, specifically, ones that are challenging, and probably old. I am an avid Role-Player and would like to consider myself an expert in character design, having accumulated over 100 characters over at least four years of designing. About 30 or so of those characters are Mega Man characters, too, so that should give us plenty to talk about. I aspire to become a game designer myself someday. I've never done voice-acting before, mostly due to lack of a good mic, but I think given the chance I could do well enough. And...well, um, I suppose that's enough information for just meeting me. Hi!

Hello! My (screen)name is QuickLikeQuickman, and I really like the Mega Man series. I'm a total video game nerd, as you might say, but I like older games better. I loooove RPG games a ton and this game combines two of my most favorite gaming aspects. I started playing Mega Man 1 when I was 11 on an NES emulator (I didn't know ROMs were illegal in most cases then). Soon after, I bought a real NES and Mega Man 3. Then, I bought Anniversary Collection for the Gamecube, became obsessed with Mega Man, started playing fan games (mainly MM8BDM) and now here I am! I also joined when the server was down, but now it's back up so yay. I'm trying to learn JavaScript so that I can make games; it's been my goal since I can remember (I can't really do anything with Java yet though). I'm still in school, so I don't have a job, but I really don't care (yet). My favorite Mega Man game would be 3; it's still challenging without being too hard, you can slide, I have it on the NES, it's got some great Robot Masters, and it wasn't "beat 8 robots beat wily stages beat wily you win", it mixed up the formula (gotta love those doc robots). So, yeah... ...that was sorta long, wasn't it. Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Heya, xColdxFusionx here! I'm another recent arrival from the CutStuff forums, where I spend most of my time helping with mods that people make. Of course, I originally signed up here when the server was having issues, but now that it's up I'm enjoying this game quite a bit!
Sorry for the rather lackluster introduction, couldn't really think of what else to put here.
Welcome to all our new members! Thank you so much for signing up and for sticking it out until we could get the game back online. Your words mean the world and I'm so happy you enjoy what I... no, we have put together. ^_^
Hello, I am Requiem from Pennsylvania. I am life-long gamer who aspires to work in the gaming industry and I'm a big fan of the Legends, Battle Network, and Zero series.
I stumbled across this while searching for more quality fangames. I have found several ones from the Battle Network world such as Chrono X (which I am ecstatic about) but this is the first Mega Man Classic RPG I've seen. I've seen a lot more Pokémon fangames, but that is to be expected of a Nintendo flagship franchise.

Hi all, I'm Rhythm_BCA (the BCA stands for my sprite comic, Bass Comic Adventures; and to differentiate myself from other Rhythms). I'm from Boston, MA and feel like I've been playing Mega Man games since the very beginning.
I'm really enjoying this game so far. A familiarity of the RM weapons help make this fun. (I do wonder if I'll be able to "collect" more Robot Masters at some point, I have one per doctor so far) but so far I'm excited to play on. I really like the concept behind Disco. She presents an interesting idea that could be expanded upon in many ways. Overall, great job and keep up the great work!
MegabossMan: Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure, but I think it was one of the MegaMan Wikis.
Rhythm_BCA: Welcome fellow new player! I'm fairly certain that all the Robot Masters listed in the database can be collected. And I agree that Disco is interesting, if another blatant piece of evidence that Wily is a malicious copy-cat.
Welcome Requiem and Rhythm_BCA! I'm glad you're enjoying the game and flattered that you like the concept behind Disco. I came up with the idea for her nearly 11 years ago but only recently was I able to flesh out her design a little more and include her in an actual game. Her and Rhythm are two of my favourite creations, so I'm glad they're appreciated. ^_^
Also, all the robots from MM1, MM2, and MM4 are currently unlockable as playable characters. Any robots from MM3 or MM5+ are not yet complete. They may appear in the post-game as random encounters (as a kind of preview bonus) but they will not be made unlockable until their respective special weapons and home fields have been completed.
@Requiem: indeed about Wily. But just Disco's whole premise intrigues me. That Wily wanted to mimic Roll's...well, role. But also that Adrian seems to be taking into account the storyline of MM10 makes it fit into the canon nicely. Even the naming is perfect "Disco to rise against the oppression of Rock and Roll"...love it.
Adrian Marceau: Thanks for the welcome and thank you very much for making and hosting this game! I feel that is the case with a lot of fan characters. Some of my best were oddly enough made up on the spot for background NPCs in themed roleplays. It is good to know that more characters and levels are under way, but what we have now is more than enough to keep us busy.
Rhythm_BCA: It does make sense for Wily to make his own Roll. He's a scientist and decent assistants who won't tattle on him to the cops or steal his stuff would probably be rare if not impossible.
MegabossMan: I really am not sure whether it was MMKB or MMFW. But it doesn't matter. I have used MMKB in the past during research binges into the series' characters. It was very helpful so thanks for setting up the site!
Hello all. Nice to be part of this, I'm ProtoMan. Sorry for not having the appropriate avatar I'm almost done with the MegaMan 2 section so hopefully I'll have my ProtoMan avatar soon ahahaha. I love MegaMan and have played all of the classic and some X games and the BN series. I've been playing MegaMan for almost five years and obviously ProtoMan is my favorite character! I've always been looking for an RPG MegaMan game and this really fits the bill. It's an actually decent RPG and I appreciate all the hard work you put into this, the music is great, the sprites are great, the battle and item system is great. Good work guys. Also a small suggestion, I think you should keep Robot Master weapons separate from actual attacks and abilities. So then I can enjoy having eight robot master weapons at my disposal as a copy core character so I can mix and match similar to Wily Tower in MegaMan The Wily Wars. But all in all, excellent. I look forward to progressing in the game and being part of this community. If you need any advice ( probably not ahahaha) I'm here. I have extensive knowledge of MegaMan that even some veterans didn't know about and I'm willing to offer suggestions to help make the game feel like MegaMan Classic.
