@MetaKirbSter : Meta, you need to stop being rude to other members. And please stop it with the COPPA thing. You're underage, you lied about your age on the login form, and now you need to have a parent or guardian send in permission or I'll have to close and delete your account. It's unfortunate but true and necessary. Spend less time worrying about getting banned for being underage and more time worrying about me banning you for poor behavior. No celebration for you until you get your stuff together.

“Hey there! As I was getting my programming done this week, I just couldn’t stop thinking about the Mega Man Killers and how much people just want them to be playable. I finally decided to give in, and in the future update, you guys will be able to use the Mega Man Killers in battle! ^_^ I just got finished coding Ballade with all the right unlockable requirements, and I’ve made something a bit...Different about them. These guys won’t be unlocked through the normal means of using Neutral-attacks on their field...But that’s something I want you guys to figure out yourself. They also don’t have any Core-type as of now[besides the same Neutral], since I haven’t finished coding it as of this email, nor their attacks. As the week progresses, I’ll send you more pictures and you can show it to everyone in the Community. I’d also like to say sorry for the fact that Quint WON’T be playable-He just wouldn’t fit in the current circumstances and will remain an non-unlockable boss. Last time I checked though, there weren’t too many Quint fans out there, so I don’t think this won’t bother anyone? Anyway, look forward to them being under your control in the future :)”

@TomBossHanksMan : Awwwwwwww I wanted them to be boss-only :'( I am glad to see that, since you have to figure out how to unlock them, they're basically hidden characters, though. I'm a sucker for things like that.

HOPEFULLY, their boss versions will be stronger than their unlocked versions (maybe you could have boss-exclusive abilities or something? Like rage abilities?), and it's good to see that at least one "MMK" is staying boss-only. May not 100% agree with the decision, but I can't exactly say they won't be fun to play, either! :D

@TomBossHanksMan : Oh, I was hoping to play as these guys. It's interesting Adrian made this decision, considering we don't even know what core their attacks will be. I guess Ballade Cracker could be Explode... Swift? Maybe just pure Explode? TheDoc brings up a good point in that the boss fights should be stronger, but maybe we could make Quint super strong to balance out him not being unlock-able? Well, whatever happens, looking forwards to the Killers!

I'm hoping they come with their own level-up abilities. Maybe also come at level 1 since they're boss fights, with the NPC versions having higher caps.

That, or it's supposed to make you think it's a fake, but really it's true.

Or he could have force-added Ballade to the account he was testing on as a hurried April Fools joke.

It's most likely a fake, considering if you add the Killers as playable characters, you have to make Quint one, as well.
I think MBM made an April Fools Day prank that did not start with the picture, but yet on a post saying this quote:

Guess what. Adrian sent me a Message saying that the update is coming out in a couple weeks! He gave me an image, and he said to keep it private. But it says the Update's gonna have 5 Difficulties, A Whole new Chapter, New PB Features, and a special offer that if you get an achievement for the new System, You will get DOUBLE BP Forever! (Totes not an APF joke)

Badum-dum, badum-dum-dum, another preview comes along....

"Hey, here's another image of a Mega Man Killer battle in motion! As you can see in the provided screenshot, I've finally coded Punk as an unlockable character in-game, through the same means as Ballade. Coding Enker next, hope to be done soon, but we'll see how that goes :) Of course, as mentioned before, Quint will stay as a Boss-only character, unless anyone is too bothered by that. Sorry! Well I'm assuming it's real then, since nobody'd drag an April Fools joke on to late April 2nd.
