Attention! This is a legacy build of the Mega Man RPG from 2022 and is no longer being maintained.
Reported bugs will not be fixed and any progress made here will not be saved.
Return to the archive index for more legacy content or
play the current version of the game for all the new stuff.
Use this thread for any and all questions that are easily answers in one post.
Things like "where is X?" or "how do I unlock Y?" are appropriate for this thread, as are questions like "how does Z work?" and the like.
What is not appropriate for this thread are questions like "what is your favourite X?", "why do you suck?", and opinions or suggestions. That type of feedback has it's own thread.
So, let's start. I would like this to be a communal Q&A and everyone can help out the new members. If this thread gets long enough I'll have to add some kind of page-system, but for now it should be fine. Thanks for playing!

Is there any reason why my leaderboard stats still show that I only have 98 abilities when I'm pretty dang sure that I have all of them that are currently available? I dominantly use Cossack so maybe that has something to do with it, although I would think (hope) that all of the players' abilities would be combined into a single statistic.
My player (Cossack) BP hasn't been updating either, only my total BP has been updating.
So... After being on hiatus on a long time, I saw major changes on the game. Gone where the days of 9999 stats... And here comes my confusions on the new system:
1. Are these "Omega" stuff work like Pokemon's Hidden Power and nothing else? 2. Are there any indicators at all stating that you got the max KO stat bonuses per RM, or is there a way to find it without manually checking your stat progress in battle, like a table to compare with or smth? 3. Any new obtainable RMs that I missed, or still up to MM4 RMs?
1. Essentially. The Omega Factors of the Robots and Doctors affect two specific moves, while shopkeepers will pay more for items with the Omega Factor element they have. 2. Robots with maxed-out stats will have a star next to the stat they have completely maxed up. Once maxed, you will be able to find this in the Robots editor. 3. Mega Man 1, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, and Mega Man 4 robots are all unlockable
@nickabrick1216 : After buying their fields, you go into the Players Tab of the game. From there, click on one of the active fields that are present on any of the doctors' campaign, and then a list will pop out filled with different field options. From there, you can switch one of those fields out with a MM3 field you purchased, where you can battle them and unlock through the normal method of defeating them with Buster Shot only.
On the subject of max stats, that's weird. When I checked my robot editor, all I see is the star beside their name (which indicated the Lv100 feat). As of the stats, no indication on the robot data despite my Mega Man, Roll and Toad Man being maxed out (remembered them being at 9999 before, so prolly maxed with the new system in place). Still, I see no star on the stat. Tho I found them being 4 stars on the robot selection screen before a battle, while Fire Man being at 3 stars. Is that the indicator?
@Buddy1 : short answer: never long answer: A lot of people have asked this, and they always get the same answer. While it would be cool if the MMK were playable, they are boss fights that will always stay that way. Maybe their weapons, though? Maybe?
Will the prototype stick to just Mega Man, or will we possibly get buy able stages of Mega Man fan games? (Ex: Mega Man unlimited, Rokko Chan) This is not likely, but might as well ask.
@nickabrick1216 : While development has certainly stalled, the plan is for the Prototype to encapsulate almost every aspect of the Mega Man Classic franchise, so we would like to be sure that we can finish every official RM that we can, and preferably on my part as many notable obscure characters we can. However, if that gets finished, the plan would be to expand on the next best thing and embrace the fangame aspect of the game, allowing Robot Masters from other fangames to appear. Now, this would not currently include their fields, weapons, or mechas, instead allowing them to join in as cameos of sorts to not create a crapload of work while still enjoying the fact that they're there. That's a long ways away, but the staff loves a lot of fangames out there, so getting to see those RMs appear would indeed be a fun prospect to entertain. Naturally though, they would have to be okay with their work being present in the first place; stealing is noooo good.
@MegaBossMan Interesting. I was hoping that we would get stages for fangame RMs, but good enough.
@Everyone Does anybody know where I could get a sprite sheet of the Time Man and Oil Man sprites? People make a ton of these, but I like the one from this game.
