Attention! This is a legacy build of the Mega Man RPG from 2022 and is no longer being maintained.
Reported bugs will not be fixed and any progress made here will not be saved.
Return to the archive index for more legacy content or
play the current version of the game for all the new stuff.
Use this thread for any and all questions that are easily answers in one post.
Things like "where is X?" or "how do I unlock Y?" are appropriate for this thread, as are questions like "how does Z work?" and the like.
What is not appropriate for this thread are questions like "what is your favourite X?", "why do you suck?", and opinions or suggestions. That type of feedback has it's own thread.
So, let's start. I would like this to be a communal Q&A and everyone can help out the new members. If this thread gets long enough I'll have to add some kind of page-system, but for now it should be fine. Thanks for playing!

I think this is probably the best place to put this discovery I made. While we certainly resolved the problem of matches freezing due to item drops, the screen that comes up when the match is being loaded can still hang sometimes. This always bugged me, since I would have to refresh the page and have to do a different version of the same battle. However, I noticed a feature in FireFox that allows you to reload the same match so that you can try again to have the match loaded (and it always loaded the second time successfully for me so far). When a match isn't loading, right click on the screen where the map should appear, and under This Frame, click Reload Frame. It will reload the match without you having to refresh the page. I didn't notice this until just now, so this should be a workable alternative until somehow the hanging at the start of the match gets resolved.

Question, does the drop rate of the cores change depending on how many robots have that core type? If not, what is the drop rate because I've redone Cutman's mission 30 times without a single Cutter Core to show for it. Also, are cores just a normal drop, or is there something specific I have to destroy a Robot Master with such as copy shot in order to get the core?

@Toastman, according to Adrian, you need to get a super effective hit on the robot master. Basically, using the weakness can result in a core being dropped

When trying to unlock an RM, I used Bass Crush (which is Neutral), but I didn't get the RM unlocked. Maybe I accidentally used an Elemental attack but it brought up the question: Is it ONLY buster weapons that can unlock the RM or will any Neutral types do? For example, could I use Mega Ball and Bass Baroque to get the job done? Also, can I use Elemental attacks that don't hit the enemy and still unlock him? For example, if I used Leaf Shield to defend myself but didn't hit the opponent with it, would I still be able to unlock that RM?
Any Neutral Attack will work. Heck, I think Proto Strike might be the most damaging attack of the Neutral attacks. What is more important is if you're on the home field of the RM you want to unlock, though. You face other RMs when you're going after Starforce, but you can't unlock them if you defeat them there instead of on their home fields. Just keep that in mind when you're trying to unlock all 38 Robot Masters currently available in the game.
How the heck do I access someone's Contributor/Developer Credits from their player profile? I've been trying to figure it out for weeks, tested it on both my own profile and others' profiles, pressed every button...and I can't figure it out. How do you do it?
Well, it seems like you're asking how to access someone's developer's credits from their account. Well, only they can see it. You can look at what they've said on the credits page but that's it. You can edit yours just by clicking edit profile.
Question: Are the Robot Masters fighting alongside us the real deals, or are they too fakes? Or is it all a dream?Waaaaaa (Cue dramatic music) Well, I admit it isn't much about gameplay, but one that has eluded me nonetheless.
@MegaBossMan : I don't know if this is still valid, but back when there was a basic story, the whole prototype was just a simulation, and all bots besides Mega, Proto and Bass were just copies based from existing data.
