So, I had this idea in mind for quite some time now, and I figured now would be a fun time to start it. There's no story since it's just kicking the of an overpowered monstrosity while simultaneously getting your own kicked by said overpowered monstrosity, so I'll just get straight to the rules:

1. Everyone must create their own base character. Each character has 30 stat points to give to each of the stats below:
Energy - The amount of damage your character can take. Every point towards this stat is multiplied by 20.
Weapons - The amount of weapon energy you have. Every point towards this stat is doubled.
Attack - The strength of your attacks.
Defense - How much is reduced from attacks dealt to you.
Speed - Dictates turn order.

Each player must also give their character the following:

Icon - A mugshot to represent your character. (Optional)
Core Type - The element of which your character is strongest with. Attacks of this element are 50% stronger and cost 2/3 of Weapon Energy.
Sub Type - The element of which your character is second strongest with. Attacks of this element are 25% stronger and cost 3/4 of Weapon Energy. (Optional)
Weakness - The element of which your character is weak against. Attacks of this element are 50% stronger against you. Can have up to 2 and no less than 1.
Resistance - The element of which your character is strong against. Attacks of this element are 50% weaker against you. Can have up to 2 and no less than 1.
3 Abilities - Can be either of your own creation or chosen from the Weapons Library. See Rule #11 for more detail.

These type-based features can be ANY elemental type featured within MMRPG itself. This INCLUDES types such as Empty, Energy, Light, etc.
2. At the start of each month, a new raid boss appears. This raid boss will be the same level as the highest-level player and will have the same stat points available to them, except that the raid boss will have infinite health.
3. The goal of the game is to deal as much damage to the Raid Boss as possible. The person who deals the most damage to the raid boss by the end of the month becomes the next raid boss.
4. After every 1,000 damage, the multiplier of the raid boss' stats increase, making them stronger.
5. If a player loses all their health, they will be unable to act for one turn; Afterwards, they will return to battle with all health and weapon energy, but they will also drop all stat buffs/debuffs that were placed on them.
6. Players will recover 1 Weapon Energy on each turn; All players will also have a 0-WE Buster Shot weapon that they can use to conserve WE, or for if they are out of Weapon Energy.
7. If a player does not post an action after ~24 hours since their last post, their turn will be automated.
8. After a raid boss leaves, the player with the most cumulative damage will become the next raid boss. Raid Bosses are created via private messages to me either through the site or through Discord so that their elemental weaknesses and resistances can remain hidden.
8.5. You can choose to either create a new raid boss or reuse/add features to an old one.
9. While participating as the raid boss, the user will be unable to participate in the raid as their none-raid character.
10. Additionally, cumulative damage for each player is converted into experience points. Players with enough experience will level up upon being disabled or reaching the end of the raid, receiving:
-10 more stat points that they can give to any stat they desire
-Another new weapon every even-numbered level (created or library)
-And that's it lol
11. Weapons have five aspects:
Core Type - 1-2 elements that control what Weaknesses or Resistances are triggered.
Cost - How much Weapon Energy is required to use the move.
Accuracy - The chance a move has of succeeding.
Power - The strength of a move. Limit of 15 Damage, +15 more per 2 WE cost
Effect - Any additional effects the move can have (multiple hits, stat changes, etc.) Limit 1, +1 per 4 WE cost. See Page 1, Post #4 for additional detail.
12. These events are typically made with no story to them; However, if you wish to provide story and/or dialogue to make things more interesting, feel free.
13. Keep in mind that everything here is mostly experimental at the moment; If there is ANYTHING that you feel that needs rebalancing, do NOT be afraid to tell me so.

Below is my non-raid boss character:

Core: Swift

(Unless I missed something, Warp Man took 260 damage and has 300 energy. Shouldn't he have survived?)

Anyways..

Okay, ow. One of us is gonna have to do something about that.. somehow.
Why do you want this to end so quickly anyway? So you can get back to sitting on a chair for the rest of eternity?

If Warp & Distort is in effect, Warp Man uses Warp Surefire on Doc Robot. If it's not, then Warp & Distort for real this time.

Begrudgingly accepting his fate as a crippled pile of metal on the ground, Dord gives Valkyrie Woman a weak thumbs up once she gets up, putting up an Evade Aura on her as a sort-of thank you for trying to buff him a while ago.

Seeing as this is a not-very-fair battle against instakills, I propose nerfs to the hydrakins

1. Their attack and speed are dropped to the level of their defense, and don't increase in multiplier
2. If a single hydrakin takes enough damage or splits, she's disabled for a turn like players
3. Their weapon energy stays consistently at 15, not chaning in capacity.

How does eveeryone feel about this?

2 and 3 are pretty good.

However, having a core mechanic like boss multipliers straight-up stop affecting certain stats mid-raid seems kinda dumb to me.

Maybe instead, the multipliers should just increase by 0.25 from now on for these guys/gals to prevent steamrolling?

agreed, its giving me headache keeping track of which is which. why not have three based off primary colors with each serving the role of defense, offense, and support.

You know what, I say the hard limit should be 10, and after the 10th Hydrakin spawns, the multiplier increase should be reduced to 0.25. That sound cool?

Also, Shiny Suckerpunch does a bit too much damage, so maybe having decreased priority or lowering the accuracy to 80% could make our deaths seem far less cheap.

Finally, maybe we could have an accuracy and/or power reduction for the extra 2 hits of each Splash ability? This would, again, reduce the overall cheapness of the fight.

BTW, if Nameless gets a new moveslot, I'm planning on giving her a move that deals damage, hits 10 random enemies, and debuffs their Attack stats upon hit, though the main drawbacks would be 73% Accuracy and a WE Cost of either 12 or 16 depending on what Beta thinks is more balanced.

I'm not limiting the hydrakins because overwhelming you in numbers is their whole thing. It's supposed to be like fighting another team of players, and you're supposed to try team-coordinating like them with your moves...

If you're having issues with tracking, please at least try using THE DOC
It has everything you need to know about them listed.

Valkyrie Woman nearly topples over from the ensemble of attacks.... but regains balance and catches herself at the last moment.

Hch. Ridicooloussen...erma notten swayennd by idealslsen of footilitytyen.

Valkyrie Woman loses her balance, and seems very well close to keeling over... but catches herself in the last moment possible. Not dissimilar to Darkened Chord and Scrap Man, an eminate energy radiates from her. The pressure from before is seemingly multiplied.

...Nowwen, no moren' drippen.

Valkyrie Woman rips off her outermost-layered clothing, revealing her armor.

Valkyrie Woman takes off her sunglasses, and throws them to the side. As small bursts of energy twinkle from her sides, she begins to rise slightly into the air. Slowly, she fastens her sword yet again. She begins to move.... but first takes a look back at Darkened Chord, with a surprisingly soft smile, before once again facing back at her opposition.

As she sprouts a pair of wings, Valkyrie Woman points her sword into the air, initiating a Light Scourge!
