In light of recent information, I have nary a single doubt that the Evil Energy Robot shall be making a surprise guest appearance in MMRPG.

As such, I'd like to repost the quotes I made for him back in the Make-A-Moveset topic.

Start: "Everyone has evil about them! Allow me to reveal yours."
Taunt: "Feel your inner evil taking over! You want to kill, you love to hate!"
Victory: "Remember that this was your own injustice, not mine!"
Defeat: "Hahaha...even though I die, the evil will live on..."

Because of the Update's confirmation that King is appearing, the most natural thing to do is make his quotes......

King(another Shield type, yay!)

Start: "You seem like a powerful robot. Join my army...."
Taunt: "So sad that your power is wasted with these humans!"
Victory: "Checkmate! The revolution will prevail!"
Defeat: "A king that can't lead his nation isn't a king at all!"

Hello, and HOLY KARP there have been a lot of quotes and revisions since I last updated. I guess six months will do that to a thread... >_> Anyway, I'm posting here to say that all the quotes up to this point have now been added to the game and now appear in the database and in battle (where applicable). This checkpoint will also help me find my place next time I need to do a bulk update.

If you don't see a specific quote from the set added or the text is tweaked slightly, please do not take offense. Several quotes were submit multiple times and there were a few that had small things I didn't like (out of the hundreds of things I LOVED) that I decided to change or combine into new quotes. This was mostly for consistency or tone and creatively, but overall I think the changes were minor and most quotes were pretty spot-on.

Thank you so much for all your hard work on these, and I'm sorry it took so long. Next up are the robot bios, and then I can start applying sprite updates.

No one else? Guess I'll seize the opportunity before someone else does...

Gate Man
Start: "None shall pass."
Taunt: "The penalty for trespassing...is death."
Victory: "I said that none shall pass. You...are no exception."
Defeat: "I am bested...you may go through."


Color Man
Start: "You look like you could use a little more COLOR in your life!"
Taunt: "Can you paint with all the colors of the rainbow?!"
Victory: "No need for colorful vocabulary...you lost, simple as that!"
Defeat: "I've gone gray..."

Yay. Glad to know that the new quotes have been added, considering that was actually the most hyped thing for the Update. Not that I hate everything else of course, but I love quotes as it sort of brings back nostalgia to what I did as a kid.(read credits bio for understanding.) Next is Robot Bios? Yay. I can't wait to see.

As for Color and Gate Man, I would have liked to do them, but I didn't know much about them. It's also better, as Hyper Storm H would say, don't "hog" the experience. Props to CHAOS_FANTAZY for coming up with great quotes! Hope to see them one day in the database!

You know what was one of the coolest things I saw in the quotes. How the Duo's mirrored each other. Of course, new quotes did come, changing the dynamic. Heck, I deleted Duo's revision because of this idea. Well, I'm back to bring it back. I hope CHAOS_FANTAZY doesn't mind that I did just mirror his quotes.

Start Quote: "Everyone has goodness about them. Allow me to find yours."
Taunt Quote :"Feel your inner good coming in. You want to care, you love to live."
Victory Quote :"Remember that that everyone has justice, not just me."
Defeat Quote :"Hahaha... even though I lost, justice will win..."

So not the best, but it was kinda hard to work with.


You know which fan-bot still doesn't have quotes? Hallow Man. Allow me to fill it in.

Start Quote: "You're just full of it, aren't you?...."
Taunt Quote: "Nothingness is all that's within me....."
Victory Quote: "You now feel empty....like me...."
Defeat Quote: "Perhaps you may have filled the hole in me...."

Jerky move to do this right after the quotes update, now that I think about it....

...Eh. Personally, I don't think mirror quotes are necessary for Duo-Alpha and Duo-Omega. Unlike the Trio Robots, or a Robot pretending to be some other Robot (Think of Copy Robot impersonating Mega Man, or Dark-Man impersonating Proto Man), they're more of their own distinct individuals.

Also, that second set of quotes might work...if the Robot's name was Hollow-Man. The name is Hallow-Man, as in (I believe) "All Hallow's Eve," more commonly known as Halloween. So just a Robot Master themed around horror and darkness.

I personally love the idea as they have been described as one side of a coin. Plus, that happened originally, why not bring it back? Also, the Trio bots are like the Duo bots +1. Just cause the Duo bots have been specified more doesn't mean it isn't the same case. Also, while I do like the whole Duo names as it's better than Oud, this might support the good Duo is more in charge. Anyway, I digress.

Also, I'm stupid. I remebered it as Hollow Man and I also remembered there being a Battle Network named Hollow. The database says that it is completely fan-made which means there is no personality source. I personally don't like Halloween but whatever....

Hallow Man

Start Quote: "Don't expect any treats robot....only tricks!"
Taunt Quote: "Boo! Wahaha! Does the dark scare you robot?!"
Victory Quote: "Waha! Tonight, make sure to check under your bed for me, the Boogeyman!"
Defeat Quote: "I always did hate taking a Fall! Wahaha-Ow!"

Nitro man

Start Quote: " Time to start my engine."
Taunt quote: " My stunts are better than you."
Victory quote: " I just pulled of the best stunt defeating you!"
Defeat quote: " Oh no I have a flat tire I won't be able to do stunts

A tweak to Bomb Man's quotes, partially in celebration of his new sprites.

Start: "Let's have a little fun with my explosives!"
Taunt: "Watch it! Bombs aren't toys, y'know!"
Victory: "Ka-BOOM! What a blast!"
Defeat: "What? But you're supposed to blow up, not me!

EDIT: Some new quotes for Wave Man as well.

Start: "Hey, who said you could come here? Go away!"
Taunt: "On your foot...sludge? This is the last straw!"
Victory: "Maybe now I can get some peace and quiet."
Defeat: "I just want to be alone! Is that too much to ask?"

I noticed Trill doesn't have any quotes yet. As a counterpoint to his appearance in Rockman EXE Beast, I wrote him as an obnoxious, arrogant little brat. Think those shrieking little kids you see in most FPS multiplayer games (COD, Battlefield, Etc.), but as evil space robots.

Start: "If you wanna get to Miss Slur, you're gonna have to go through me first!"
Taunt: "Just 'cause I'm a kid doesn't mean you're stronger than me!"
Victory: "Go ahead and cry, you big baby!"
Defeat: "B-but there's no way you could have won! *sob* You must have cheated!"

I made a few edits to my quotes for Bomb Man and Wave Man. Check out my previous post for the changes.

Also, quotes for Plug Man! His bio from the Robot Master Field Guide indicates he's a shopaholic anime geek, which sets him apart nicely from the other Electric-type robots.

Start: “Let’s be quick! There’s a sale at Big Eddie’s!”
Taunt: “So, Robot…what’s your favorite anime?”
Victory: “I’m meeting some friends in Akihabara once I get off work. Interested?”
Defeat: “Ugh…I need to recharge…”

I have a few quotes to revise as well. Mostly because some parts might be too similar to other bots or new sprites. Or maybe I just have a need to make quotes.


Elec Man


Start: "Such a low-voltage robot like yourself cannot handle my electrifying powers! "
Taunt: "Your attacks are of no shock to one such as myself!"
Victory: "The battle we had was beautiful...But nothing compares to me!"
Defeat: "My beauty is like lightning...It captivates everyone, then disappears...."

Oil Man

Start: "What up with it, [insert name of robot]? Ready for my showtime?"
Taunt: "Your skills are kinda rusty bot. Got plenty of oil for that."
Victory: "You gotta keep it real, know what I'm sayin'?"
Defeat: "Hey pal, no need to get serious on me! That's harsh!"

Quick Man

Start: "A robot like you couldn't even keep up with the ground!"
Taunt: "Can your optics even process my walking, slowpoke?"
Victory: "When will the day come when I can face against a true racer?"
Defeat: "My legs! How did you even hit me, let alone defeat?!"
