"I've placed my bets on winning here and now, so make it easy on yourself and fold, yeah?" |
"Muster up all the strength you can, but I'm running on pure horsepower!" |
"Victory? It's all about gambling your chances on the spur of the moment!" |
"I don't have the energy to keep going on... I knew I'd just regret this..." |
One of the most glaring aspects anyone would pick up on this robot is that, surprisingly, he's a robot that doesn't rely on the traditional biped design! His inspiration comes from the mythical Centaur figure, an intentional choice in order to drum up interest as a tour guide for a museum dedicated to mythology. A job he certainly enjoyed, but grew stale when visitors wouldn't comprehend the concept of "don't touch anything." When it came time to freshen things up and enlist as a participant in the First Annual Robot Tournament, he was modified to stall and disorient his opposition with his newly-equipped "Centaur Flash" technique. Conceived to imitate the traditional time-altering abilities of robots such as Flash Man, the Centaur Flash is unique in altering space to create the same impression. However, this outrageous ability comes with a handicap; it requires a lot of diverting from Centaur Man's own energy supply, leaving continuous usage the risk of wearing him out. Despite this, it's a drawback that fits his own style of thinking; Centaur Man's a gambler at heart, and he's able to quickly decipher the key moments of battle to ride his lucky streak to success! Yet, if his win streak hits a stop, Centaur Man often begins to resign to himself and places his thoughts on feelings of regret and doubt. His hobbies include archery and running, but despises it when others tease him for his seemingly feminine facial features. Regardless, when Centaur Man finds his gambling high, whether in the casinos or the battlefield, it's hard to keep this teleporting half-horse half-man robot down! |
